As a movie buff with a deep appreciation for electronic music and immersive experiences, I am beyond excited for the upcoming New Year’s Eve performance by Anyma at the Sphere in Las Vegas. This Italian artist has been making waves in the EDM scene, having recently performed at Coachella and collaborating with none other than Grimes on her visually stunning sets.
Las Vegas has been known for a long time as the leading city in America for Electronic Dance Music (EDM), with its huge Electric Daisy Carnival and a continuous chain of mega-club residencies in resorts throughout the year. Later this year, dance music will have its debut at Sphere, the most lavish new venue in the city.
On New Year’s Eve in 2024, the multi-talented EDM artist and audio-visual innovator, Anyma, will be in charge of the venue. Known for his electrifying performances at festivals like Coachella, Anyma recently shared the stage with Eric Prydz on the Quasar stage and collaborated with Grimes to create captivating visuals during his solo set. Grimes has even taken to social media to share heartwarming photos of their partnership.
In 2023, the Italian artist, who is also one half of the influential dance duo Tale of Us and the co-founder of Interscope record label Afterlife Records, unveiled “Genesys II.” This release includes fresh tracks and remixes as a follow-up to his first LP.
For the first time, Sphere’s unique vibe will blend with the city’s prominent EDM nightlife scene. Here, Matteo Milleri, the artist, can express his cosmic sci-fi style in collaboration with visual artists Alessio De Vecchi, Tobias Gremmler, and Alexander Wessely.
In recent times, Sphere has become renowned as the go-to destination for witnessing legendary rock bands like Phish, Dead & Company, U2, and the Eagles in a unique and modern setting with their scheduled residencies. The upcoming performance by Anyma promises to showcase Sphere’s versatility and capabilities in a contemporary context.
