Larry, 60, has since responded to the rumours with a typically cheeky post on social media.
‘I’m not sure my old back and old hips could handle it,’ he shared to his Instagram on Thursday.
He playfully said, “I’m still quite painful from the 130kg truck driver who, in jest, acted like he was humping me on the studio floor right after he won a clay potted bird, if you can imagine that!
Larry shared a tale from this week’s New Idea in his update, hinting that TV network officials are showing great interest in reviving the long-standing series for broadcast again.
According to a source within the television industry, there’s no doubt that viewers would rush to watch any program hosted by Larry. If he were to revive The Price is Right, the audience’s excitement would likely reach fever pitch.
Larry gained popularity as the host of The Price is Right from 1993 to 1998 during its run on Network Nine.
He was back at the helm for a Nine revival of the show between 2003 and 2005.
In 2012, Channel Seven made an attempt to restart the series with Larry, but unfortunately, they decided to terminate it in January 2013, prior to filming a second season.

Based on the information at hand, it appears that game shows like Tipping Point and The Floor have been garnering high ratings, leading networks to show increased interest in such programs currently.
Currently, there’s a strong affection for reminiscing, and it’s clear that Australian viewers would appreciate a reboot of The Price is Right, according to the source.

At present, Larry is emceeing a popular afternoon program titled “The Chase Australia” on Seven, which has consistently garnered top ratings during the last three years.
According to the source, it was a post that Larry made on his Instagram last month regarding The Price is Right which sparked the network’s desire for a reboot.
Larry asked his followers what they thought was the best part of “The Price is Right” and which game was their favorite too.
On May 20th, the published post amassed 2,933 likes from its audience, and enthusiasts promptly shared their recollections in the comment section.
Last August, Larry garnered attention by winning his initial Logie Award, which included a Silver prize that year. Subsequently, he won the Gold award at the 2024 ceremony held at The Star Casino in Sydney.
For decades, this Australian TV personality has been a familiar figure on our screens, dating back to their teenage years at the age of 19. However, they have yet to claim victory at a prominent award show until now.
In an impressive debut, Larry clinched the title of the most favored host by winning the Bert Newton Award at the Logies, marking a significant triumph for him.
