Larry Emdur breaks his silence on Seven bullying scandal as he arrives to 2024 Logie Awards with wife Sylvie
As a long-time admirer and follower of Larry Emdur’s career, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride and respect for this resilient, talented man. His unwavering dedication to his craft, coupled with his ability to maintain grace under fire, is truly inspiring.
7TV personality Larry Emdur shared his thoughts on the ongoing controversy within the station, just prior to attending the Logie Awards on Sunday.
As a woman working in the media industry for over two decades, I have encountered my fair share of workplace challenges and biases. However, the recent allegations of rampant sexism, misogyny, and bullying at ABC, as exposed by Four Corners this week, truly saddened me. It felt like a punch in the gut, reminding me of experiences I had to endure during my early years in the industry. These issues are not just isolated incidents; they are systemic problems that need immediate attention and action. It’s crucial for networks like ABC to take these allegations seriously and make concrete efforts towards creating a more inclusive and respectful work environment for all employees, regardless of gender.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, 59-year-old Larry expressed his continued sense of pride in working at Seven, acknowledging that there are always areas where improvements can be made.
‘I know there’s a focus on a small minority of people doing the wrong thing,’ he said.
The experienced TV personality emphasized that there’s room for improvement in certain aspects, and notably, the network is making strides to rectify the issues.
Even after all this time, I remain deeply honored to be part of the team at Seven, surrounded by numerous gifted individuals in the field of production and journalism. Their genuine passion for their work never ceases to amaze me.
Speaking as a lifestyle expert, I’d like to emphasize the importance of discussing workplace culture across various sectors. At the core, what truly matters is fostering an environment where individuals strive to be respectful, empathetic, and genuinely kind – essentially, decent human beings.
‘People need to feel safe and well and happy at work,’ he said.
The comments surfaced on the exact day when the TV host showcased affectionate gestures upon his arrival at the 2024 Logie Awards, which took place at Sydney’s Star City.
Larry posed hand in hand and cuddling up to his wife of 29 years Sylvie.
As a fashion aficionado, I proudly showcased my refined style in a sleek black suit subtly adorned with thin stripes, paired with a coordinating black formal shirt and a dapper bow tie for an evening affair.
Meanwhile, Sylvie, Sylvia’s wife, coordinated with her television star husband in a uniform of black attire. She donned a sleek black dress featuring a slit up to her thigh, highlighting her slender legs, and completed the look with stylish black stilettos.
The dress additionally showcased a delicate black-laced torso area and intricate lace adornments on the neckline and arm areas, made of see-through fabric.
On the dazzling event, Sylvie opted to pull her hair into a neat bun and added a touch of elegance with a pair of sleek, round black earrings. She decided not to adorn her neck with any jewelry as she made her grand entrance.
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Larry discussed his unique approach to winning the Gold Logie this year.
We’ve enjoyed ourselves immensely during this experience, and that’s a big part of it. When Seven informed me about the nomination, I expressed that we wouldn’t engage in the typical “vote for me” tactics. We’ll participate only if we can poke fun at the situation and have a good time doing it.
