On Father’s Day, which falls on June 15th in the U.S., the stylish home-based mom honored the Avatar actor by posting a collection of seldom-seen family snapshots on Instagram.
On the carousel, Sam presented himself as a loving father to their three kids, offering a glimpse of his tender, less private side, which is often concealed by his private actor persona.
In one shot, the 48-year-old man can be seen grinning at the camera as he plays and splashes around with his boys in a pool.
In a different image, Sam can be seen lovingly feeding one of his sons on a personal aircraft, all the while playfully using a pacifier.
The third image sees Sam shirtless, holding one of their newborns against his bare chest.
Lara captioned the images simply, writing, ‘Happy Father’s Day’ across all three.
Lara and Sam began dating in 2013 and married the following year.
The model previously told The Daily Telegraph that they are enjoying growing old together.
‘We’re the only pair left in this, and Sam and I make a strong duo. Being fellow Aussies, we share similar beliefs. Together, we approach our kids as a united front, which I believe is crucial,’ she emphasized.
Lara continued by expressing that her family is extremely tight-knit, and she tends to be quite lenient as a parent.
Every time I interact with them, I just can’t get enough – particularly Sam! I cherish these moments and wish they never fade away; may they last forever.
However, having both the role of a mother and a worker is primarily supported by your partner. Sam and I share similar perspectives, making it feel as if he understands me when I am working, and I reciprocate that understanding when he is working too.
Sam and Lara currently split their time between Sydney and New York.
Last year, the Avatar star revealed he had no plans for a permanent move Down Under any time soon.
Speaking to GQ Australia, Sam said that he owed ‘everything’ to his adopted homeland.
‘No. I like America,’ Sam said when asked if a move was in the couple’s future.
For nearly two decades, America has provided me with countless opportunities and resources. It’s a place where one can blend in, yet still feel the strong bond of community – something truly remarkable.
Sam mentioned that he, too, was captivated by New York – a location where his acting isn’t constantly the center of attention.
