Lara Stone’s lavish new life with her handsome (and rich!) property developer husband in Hampstead 10 years after divorce from David Walliams – as her ex prepares to spend a lonely Christmas apart from their son

Lara Stone, who was formerly married to David Walliams, is now living a luxurious life with her husband, David Grievson, a property developer.

The couple, married in 2021, live in a historic mansion in Hampstead Heath with their two sons: two-year-old Bob and twelve-year-old Alfred.

The popular children’s book author recently expressed sadness about not being able to celebrate Christmas with his son, Alfred, this year, as Alfred will be spending the holiday with his mother, Lara.

I’ve been following David Walliams and Lara Stone for a while now, and it’s well known they were married for five years, from 2010 to 2015. Even after their divorce, they’ve continued to co-parent their son, Alfred, which is lovely to see.

Lara and Grievson connected on Tinder in 2018 and got engaged two years later, in 2020.

The couple got married in a small, private ceremony a year later, which was very different from her previous wedding to Walliams – a lavish event costing £30,000 at Claridge’s.

Lara and Grievson, who founded the property design company Coburn, have been happily living in London and gradually renovating their older home for the last few years.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read the most adorable interview with Grievson! He totally opened up about what it’s like living with his stepson, and honestly, it was so sweet! He really is the perfect stepfather – it’s clear he absolutely adores the kid. I always knew he was amazing, but this just proves it! He’s just…everything!

He explained to PrimeResi that the renovation allowed him to create a special ‘Narnia room’ for his stepson, Alf. It’s hidden in the attic space behind the clothes rail inside Alf’s bedroom closet.

‘I took the view that Lara and Alf were the most important clients I could ever have’, he added.

I’ve gained a lot of interior design experience through property development, and I’m very detail-oriented when it comes to how things look and feel. I didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy working with Lara, or how helpful she’d be to bounce ideas off of!

Lara and David Walliams quickly fell for each other in 2009, starting with a date at a Chelsea football game and continuing with David surprising Lara by sending flowers to her home.

He got engaged in Los Angeles in 2010, and they married that May at the luxurious Claridge’s Hotel in London. Lara wore a stunning lace and satin wedding dress worth £30,000.

Guests were left somewhat uneasy when they chose Beauty And The Beast for their first dance.

They had a son in May 2013, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2015. The divorce was finalized very quickly, with the court hearing lasting less than a minute.

The celebrity requested a quick divorce, stating that Lara had behaved unreasonably. Their case was processed along with twenty others.

When Lara and her ex-partner split up, reports said she took their dog, Bert, with her when she moved out.

According to the Daily Mail, Walliams was unwilling to stop trying to win Lara’s affection.

According to a source, David is really trying to get back together with her. He acknowledges he’s made mistakes, but believes all marriages have their issues. He insists he’s a good man who wants what’s best for her and their son, and he’s committed to providing for them both financially.

Work stress was the main issue, and some felt it stemmed from a fundamental difference in their personalities – he was very driven and energetic, while Lara was more relaxed and comfortable with a slower pace.

Since his divorce from Lara, David Walliams hasn’t been in a serious relationship. Last year, he openly discussed his sexuality and gender identity, suggesting he might identify as non-binary.

This week, the actor known for Little Britain revealed that his new children’s book, Santa And Son, was a way for him to process feelings of sadness.

The story follows Elvis, a boy being raised by his mother. His father is a retired and rather grumpy Santa Claus.

A bond is struck when they meet and have an adventure together.

During an interview on New Zealand’s Mike Hosking’s breakfast show, David discussed a character in his book, describing him as a somewhat unreliable father. He also noted a recurring theme throughout the book about parents and those who are separated.

I was just reflecting on how difficult it can be for parents to not be with their child during the holidays, especially at Christmas.

Christmas is a time when we all feel like we should be happy, but it’s also common to feel a little sad or reflective.
