Lara Croft Arrives in Dead by Daylight, Plus 2v8 Mode on the Way

As a long-time fan of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series, I’m absolutely thrilled to see her making an appearance in Dead by Daylight! It’s a unique twist that I hadn’t expected, but it makes perfect sense given her adventurous spirit and the horror elements that have crept into more recent iterations of the franchise.

I’m thrilled to share that I, as a huge fan of Lara Croft, will be experiencing her latest adventure in the eerie world of Dead by Daylight. This exciting update not only introduces Lara but also brings along numerous new features for us to enjoy.

The new Lara Croft bears some resemblance to her counterpart from the latest Tomb Raider series. They share similar appearances in terms of attire, but there are noticeable differences in their facial features. Additionally, the trailer for this new version of Tomb Raider seems to emphasize a more horror-driven theme, as one would expect from such an adventure.

The description reads, “Adventure into the unknown. Lara Croft has entered The Fog.”

According to developer Behaviour Interactive:

As a gamer, I can tell you that even if Lara Croft is stripped of her signature pistols or bow in Dead by Daylight, the game still manages to bring out the core of who she is. It transforms her abilities based on the unique traits that make her Lara – her intelligence, agility, and survival skills, for instance. So, while the weapons may change, the essence of Lara Croft remains intact in this thrilling gaming experience.

Lara brings three distinct Perks, Finesse, Hardened, and Specialist, into Dead by Daylight. Each Perk highlights Lara’s athletic abilities (with new animations!), her adventurous spirit, and her expertise as an archaeologist.

Also coming to the game, on 25th July, is a 2v8 mode, meaning two killers versus eight survivors.
