Lar Park Lincoln, ‘Knots Landing’ actor who became audition coach, dies at 63

As a devoted cinephile, I’m deeply saddened to share that Lar Park Lincoln, a beloved actress recognized for her roles in “Knots Landing” and “Friday the 13th Part VII,” has passed away. Her contributions extended beyond the screen, as she also founded a studio dedicated to nurturing emerging talent.

On Thursday, it was announced on Facebook by Actors Audition Studios that Lincoln passed away on Tuesday. Further information about her location of death and the cause of her passing have not been disclosed. She was 63 years old.

During a remarkable 45-year span in Hollywood, Lar made an indelible impression with her captivating performances and commitment to guiding upcoming actors,” the statement noted.

The actor hailing from Dallas became widely recognized for her role in “Knots Landing” from 1987 to 1991, where she played Linda Fairgate. Known to fans for her cunning nature, Linda was the daughter-in-law of Karen Fairgate, portrayed by Michele Lee. Tragically, Linda met her end through murder in Season 13. Throughout her time on the CBS drama, Lincoln took on several supporting roles and acted alongside series leads William Devane and Kevin Dobson.

Beyond her fame from “Knots Landing,” she was also recognized for playing Tina Shepard, a character who unintentionally brings Jason back to life with her psychic abilities, in the 1988 movie “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.” She resurfaced in this role again in the fan film “Rose Blood,” which was released in 2021, one of her last on-screen appearances.

Lincoln has acted in various television shows such as “Outlaws,” “Highway to Heaven,” “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Murder, She Wrote.” Additionally, she was featured in films like “The Princess Academy,” “From the Dark,” “Autumn Road” and this year’s release “Ghost Party,” which marks her last acting role.

Behind the scenes, Lincoln expanded her business by selling her clothing line on QVC and ventured back to her home state to establish Actors Audition Studios while raising a family. In 2008, she released her book titled “Get Started, Not Scammed,” offering guidance for aspiring actors and models.

Born on the 12th of May, 1961, Laurie Park Lincoln spent her life with her husband, Michael Martin Lincoln, until his passing in 1995. She is fortunately still around, joined by her daughter Piper, son Trevor, siblings Karen and Michael, and four precious grandchildren.
