Lana Del Rey bashes Louisiana paparazzi after marrying her 'one and only' bayou beau

As a seasoned cinephile who has seen countless tales of love and Hollywood drama unfold on the silver screen, I must say that Lana Del Rey‘s recent nuptials and subsequent saga with the paparazzi feels like a blend of a romantic indie film and a suspenseful thriller. The fact that this real-life narrative involves a celebrated songstress, a swamp tour guide, drones, trackers, and allegations of photo manipulation is nothing short of extraordinary.

For Lana Del Rey, heaven is a place on earth with you — and without paparazzi.

This week, the singer known for her hits “Video Games” and “Say Yes to Heaven,” along with her family including husband Jeremy Dufrene, expressed a sense of increased security if the local photographers in Louisiana would cease following them. On a fan account’s comment section on Wednesday, she pointed out certain well-known New Orleans paparazzi and claimed that they were not just taking pictures but engaging in more questionable activities.

Unfortunately, a local pair residing in Houma persistently fly drones towards our windows each morning, and they seem to be tracking our movements, as she penned down.

Speaking as a movie-loving individual, I’ve recently found myself in a situation where I feel compelled to address some unwanted attention. Lana Del Rey, also known as Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, has raised concerns about the paparazzi’s persistent pursuit. She claims they’ve been changing cars to track her, her family, and Dufrene around secluded regions of the country. Furthermore, she alleges that these photographers have manipulated images of her wedding ring. This revelation comes shortly after pictures of her wedding to Dufrene, a swamp tour guide, gained widespread attention last week.

39-year-old Lana Del Rey got married at a public bayou in Des Allemands, Louisiana, where Dufrene works, according to the Daily Mail’s report. The ceremony was mostly captured from above with pictures and videos being published by the outlet. During the event, Del Rey wore a long wedding dress, while her partner donned a three-piece suit. Lana Del Rey’s father, Robert Grant, along with her siblings Caroline Grant and Charlie Hill-Grant, were also said to be present at the wedding.

It appears from social media images that the newly-wed couple have been acquainted for quite some time. As far back as 2019, Lana Del Rey mentioned her future husband’s swamp tours on Facebook, saying “Jeremy, let me be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.” In a post from May last year, the singer of “National Anthem” uploaded another picture of Dufrene, referring to him as “my man,” thereby fueling speculation among fans about their relationship.

Last week, no confirmation about the marriage was given by Del Rey’s representatives when those pictures spread online, yet on Wednesday, the singer herself revealed to her fans that she is happily married. In a comment section, she stated, “Jeremy is my one and only,” expressing disapproval towards the paparazzi in the process.

“And amazing,” she continued. “And we’re very happy.” Ain’t that sweet like cinnamon.
