Lamborghini Unleashes Aggressive New Temerario GT3

Summary

  • Lamborghini debuts its first track car based on the new Temerario road model, the GT3
  • Powered by a re-engineered twin-turbo V8, it’s built entirely in-house for global GT3 racing
  • Lightweight carbon body, quick-swap components, and upgraded aero target competitive endurance racing

Lamborghini unveiled its new racing car, the Temerario GT3, which is the first competition model entirely created, developed, and assembled at their Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. This model was inspired by the road-going Temerario, with a focus on motorsport from the start, resulting in a production-based platform that’s ready for the track.

The upgraded racing car showcases an optimized aluminum spaceframe chassis for racing efficiency, encased in carbon-fiber composite bodywork that facilitates quick disassembly during pit stops. A revamped 4L twin-turbo V8 engine, now delivering 550 horsepower to meet GT3 standards, works in harmony with a six-speed sequential transmission. Sophisticated aerodynamics, enhanced cooling systems, and a bespoke Capristo exhaust system round off the high-performance package.

In the cockpit, adjustments based on feedback from Lamborghini’s factory drivers have been incorporated, including enhanced ergonomics, advanced electronics, and a unique steering wheel. The new Temerario GT3 model comes equipped with updated six-way KW dampers, a longer wheelbase, broader track, and custom hydraulic steering – all designed to improve cornering grip and simplify setup for varying race conditions. This vehicle is scheduled to make its debut at the 2026 Sebring 12 Hours, symbolizing Lamborghini’s continued commitment to global GT racing and their customer teams.
