Lala Kent steps out with newborn daughter Sosa in LA – after detailing health scare after delivery

Lala Kent stepped out with her newborn daughter Sosa in LA on Sunday – weeks after opening up her baby’s serious health scare after the quick delivery.
34-year-old celebrity from Vanderpump Rules was seen in a relaxed manner, accompanied by her family, at the local farmer’s market. She was also seen navigating a stroller carrying her five-week-old daughter.
Lala wore a cropped blue tee, navy blue gilet and joggers – paired with grey sneakers.
Her locks were styled in a chic half updo and she sported edgy shades.
The star is also mom to daughter Ocean, three, who she shares with ex husband Randall Emmett.
In her podcast Give Them Lala last month, the celebrity disclosed that the rapid birth process caused the newborn to briefly turn a shade of purple at some point.
In her penultimate push, it seemed like her doctor quickly stood up quite abruptly, and his attention was fixed on the monitor, she later remembered.
She commented, “‘He seems to be giving flirtatious glances towards the nurse who’s going through medical texts that appear incomprehensible to me since I’m not a physician. He appears anxious as well.’
Kent shared that he asked his physician if everything was alright, to which the healthcare provider replied, ‘Absolutely, just keep persevering.’
She later learned that ‘the [umbilical] cord was wrapped around [Sosa’s] neck a couple of times.’
In the aftermath of the incident, Lala’s doctor remained composed and hid his concerns from her.
‘She brought out the baby towards me, placed her on my chest, and I wanted to hug her as a loving gesture for my newborn. However, the nurse’s behavior with the infant was strange since she didn’t cry right away, only cried briefly.’
The mother explained, “My hands are cold, so I prefer not to touch her as I don’t want to startle or shock her.
Afterward, the nurses started gently massaging her chest and using a device to remove any fluid she had ingested from her amniotic sac. It was discovered that the newborn had accidentally inhaled some amniotic fluid during birth.
She informed the audience, ‘Mom’s rapid delivery was beneficial since I didn’t need to push much, however, due to the speedy labor, she ended up swallowing a significant amount of amniotic fluid.’
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share some insights about Sosa. It seemed like she had an excessive amount of fluid within her system, causing her to regurgitate whatever food she consumed. (Lauren, known as Lala, expressed this.)
That’s when the baby ‘turned purple’ and ‘freaked out’ the nurse, prompting a call for backup.
Kent went on to explain, ‘Afterward, they call in an expert and say, “We believe a surgeon should assess this situation because what’s happening isn’t typical. Initially, we removed about 10 milliliters of amniotic fluid from her stomach, followed by another 8, and more after that.’
In my professional expertise as a lifestyle advisor, I can empathize with the gravity of the situation when someone shares, “The situation worsened as they confided, ‘Now we’re draining it through her nostrils, and it doesn’t seem to stop.’ They further explained, ‘We either need a pediatric surgeon to intervene or keep her in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).’
Lala started questioning herself about the terrifying incident, pondering if there were any differences in her approach during her first and second pregnancies. Apart from Sosa, she is also a mother to their three-year-old daughter, Ocean, with her former fiancé, Randall Emmett.
The media personality said she was ‘beside myself’ and asked, ‘What the f**k?’
When I began to cry, they reassured me saying, “Don’t worry, you didn’t do anything wrong during your pregnancy. We’re simply a bit puzzled.
Eventually, she mentioned that her daughter had recovered well. Two weeks post-delivery, the new mother of two was seen enjoying a meal with Sosa in Sherman Oaks.
