Lala Kent says her newborn was ‘struggling to breathe’ due to poor air quality amid LA fires
Lala Kent is opening up about her encounters with the wildfires that have been raging through Los Angeles since Tuesday.
On Thursday, a 34-year-old mom of two shared on Instagram that her four-month-old baby girl, Sosa, was struggling to breathe due to the unhealthy air conditions around them.
In a post on the app’s Stories section, the ex-Vanderpump Rules character expressed concern, stating that this morning, Sosa had difficulty breathing.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve chosen to gather my loved ones and embark on a temporary relocation to the serene oasis of Palm Springs, prioritizing our health above all else due to air quality concerns in Los Angeles. We shall remain here until we can confidently return to LA, knowing it’s safe once more.
On the 3rd of September, Lala (whose real name is Lauren) welcomed her second baby into the world. She already has a three-year-old daughter named Ocean who she shares with her former fiancé, Randall Emmett.
The grim update shared by the reality TV personality went on to say, ‘I’ve never witnessed a situation as heart-wrenching as this one.’
‘At this point, if you were not directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything.’
Sharing deeply from her feelings with her 2.4 million followers, she expressed, ‘I can’t help but worry about our lack of readiness.’
Kent, who lives in the valley, said her ‘heart is shattered for my community.’
She shared with her followers, “We’ve been spared any direct impact so far, but it’s tough to stay thankful given the struggles I see others facing.
The star conveyed a mix of sorrow and anger, pointing out the presence of individuals who are plundering goods and a scarcity of water.
But, she said, ‘I’ll save that rant for a later date.’
In her second Instagram Story, she expressed gratitude towards the hardworking individuals who are tirelessly fighting the fires.
Personally, I simply cannot help but express my heartfelt gratitude to our tireless firefighters and emergency responders. They are the unsung heroes of our community, always ready to leap into action at a moment’s notice. Thank you for your selflessness and courage, you truly make our city a safer place to live.

Previously, the famous personality from Bravo posted a picture featuring her two kids alongside Emmett’s daughter, Rylee (aged 11), who is also his child with ex-spouse Ambyr Childers (age 36).
Childers and Emmett are also co-parents to London, who turns 15 in February.
On Tuesday morning, a brush fire in Southern California was triggered by the confluence of strong winds and scarce rainfall, which provided an ideal environment for the blaze to thrive.
The fire rapidly engulfed Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood known for housing stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Anna Farris, Tyra Banks, among others.
By Thursday night, a total of 19,978 acres had already been charred by the Palisades fire. The tireless efforts of firefighters continue to focus on suppressing the blaze.
