Laila Rouass and husband Ronnie O’Sullivan share glimpse of their romantic date night after relocating to Dubai for a ‘fresh start’

I recently got a peek into a lovely date night Laila Rouass and her husband, Ronnie O’Sullivan, enjoyed! They’ve settled into life in Dubai and seem to be really enjoying it – this romantic dinner was a sweet snapshot of their new chapter.

Actress Susie Amy, 54, recently shared a photo of her husband, snooker player Steve Davis, 50. The picture shows him enjoying a sandwich while listening to a song by his friend, Kenny Thomas – the 1991 hit ‘Thinking About Your Love’. The couple had a private wedding last year.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe the rollercoaster these two have been on! They’ve broken up like, a bunch of times, most recently early this year, but then – get this – they got back together in January! And now, after all that drama, they’re actually getting MARRIED and moving to the UAE! They said they want a ‘fresh start’, and honestly, good for them, they deserve it after everything! I’m just so happy for them, seriously!

Ronnie looked relaxed and comfortable in a simple grey T-shirt by Bathing Ape, costing around £100, and paired it with light blue chinos.

In another part of the show, Laila asked Ronnie, “How old were you when Kenny Thomas released his song ‘Thinking About You Love’?”

He playfully responded, ‘Just one, which means Kenny must be around 85 now!’ This made his wife laugh a lot.

Singer Kenny, 57, took the joke in good spirits and shared the post again, adding: ‘Alright @ronnie – that’s hilarious, and honestly, I can relate! Love you both, @lailarouass.’

The couple decided to leave their home in Essex and move to the Middle East to pursue Ronnie’s passion for sports, choosing it over options like Yorkshire or a brief consideration of Spain.

I’ve been a huge Ronnie O’Sullivan fan for years, and I was really worried when he completely disconnected – he ditched all social media, stopped using messaging and news apps, and even got rid of his web browser! It seemed like he wanted to completely unplug. But I was thrilled to see he’s back on Instagram now, which is a great way to keep up with him!

He recently shared with The Sunday Times that he regrets not taking breaks from work sooner, suggesting he might do so every six months. He also stated he doesn’t want to advance his career by socializing or networking.

Honestly, I don’t need a lot. My friends are everything to me, and that’s honestly enough. I’m not even bothered about having a phone, it doesn’t really make things any better, you know? It’s actually kinda peaceful without it, so yeah, it’s really nice like this.

They chose Dubai mainly because his wife, who is from Morocco, wanted to live somewhere with warm, sunny weather.

‘We’re not there for a bouji sort of lifestyle. I just like the simplicity of it there, the weather’s great,’ he said.

The couple, who preferred a simple life, got married at St George’s Town Hall in Shadwell, East London, in a quiet ceremony without a lot of fuss – and without even a best man.

I was actually alone, he explained. We had Laila’s sisters visit, but we intentionally kept it small and didn’t want a large gathering.

O’Sullivan also confessed that being unable to speak the local language actually helps him live a more private and peaceful life.

He explained that not knowing the local language actually has a perk: it gives him an excuse to avoid talking to everyone he meets.

‘I know it sounds terrible but we just smile at each other, hello, and it’s good.’

It is was Ronnie’s first trip down the aisle, but Laila previously married Abdeslam Rouass in 1990.

The exes divorced in 2003, and he was later jailed for fraud.

In October, Laila shared that she’s been diagnosed with a condition doctors can’t cure, and she described feeling devastated by the news.

The actress revealed she’s dealing with a health issue, but clarified it isn’t life-threatening. She did say the experience has been incredibly challenging.

The actress recently shared some difficult news: she’s been diagnosed with an incurable illness. She described it as the biggest challenge she’s ever faced, something that has profoundly tested her strength.

While it’s not dangerous, losing some physical control has been a deeply humbling experience, and honestly, it’s been incredibly painful at times.
