Lady Gaga is set to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards, which are happening in just a few days.
The news followed shortly after the 39-year-old singer spoke out against the recent ICE raids in the United States while performing in Tokyo, Japan, as part of her MAYHEM tour.
Sabrina Carpenter is the first performer announced for the 68th annual Grammy Awards, which will be held this Sunday, February 1st, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
And now it’s been confirmed that Lady Gaga will take the stage for the second consecutive year.
Justin Bieber, Tyler, The Creator and BLACKPINK’S Rose are also on the 2026 performance roster.
Lady Gaga has received seven nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards, increasing her career total to 45 nominations and 14 wins.
Okay, so she finally dropped her seventh album, MAYHEM, in March 2025, and honestly, it’s everything! And the best part? It’s up for Album of the Year! I’m absolutely losing it – it deserves to win, seriously!
Her song, ‘Abracadabra,’ is a strong possibility to win both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Harlequin, the accompanying soundtrack to the 2024 film Joker: Folie à Deux (a sequel to the 2019 movie Joker), is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
Lady Gaga performed at the Grammys last year, singing her song ‘Die With A Smile’ with Bruno Mars.
The performers dedicated their show to those affected by the January 2025 wildfires that caused so much damage in Los Angeles.
Mary J. Blige has received six Grammy nominations, with her album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ being recognized for Album of the Year.
Justin Bieber put out two albums last year. His debut album, ‘Swag,’ is up for both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Some of his songs off of the seventh studio album, including Daisies and Yukon, also received nods.
He followed up with Swag II in September 2025, but it came out too late to be nominated for a Grammy this year.
Tyler, The Creator earned six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for his album Chromakopia. He also received a nomination for Best Rap Song for his hit, Sticky.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I was so thrilled to see Rosé from BLACKPINK receive her first Grammy nomination! It’s for her amazing collaboration with Bruno Mars on the track ‘APT,’ and it’s a huge moment for her and K-Pop as a whole. It’s fantastic to see her talent recognized on such a global stage.
The popular song is nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Let me tell you, the energy was electric at Lady Gaga’s Tokyo show! It was just hours before the Grammys performer list was set to drop, and she totally commanded the stage with this incredibly powerful speech. You could just feel the excitement building – it was a real moment.
During a concert in Tokyo on Thursday, the artist stopped to share a personal message with the audience, adding her voice to a number of celebrities protesting against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as concerns about increased immigration enforcement grow.
In a clip that’s quickly spreading online, Lady Gaga addressed the audience, explaining she wanted to discuss a deeply important issue – one that resonates with people globally, and particularly in the United States right now.
She told the audience in Japan that she’d be returning to the U.S. soon, and expressed how sad she was to be leaving.
She said she’s returning home soon, but is deeply saddened by the thought of the families and children across the country who are being harshly targeted by ICE.
It’s heartbreaking to see how much suffering they’re going through and how their lives are falling apart before our eyes.
Lady Gaga highlighted the recent death of Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who was fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis. The shooting has caused significant public concern and led to protests.
She also expressed concern for her home state of Minnesota and the people there, who are feeling scared and unsure about how to respond to the current situation.
She went on to say that when communities feel unsafe and disconnected, it affects everyone. She expressed hope for support that evening, adding that even though they weren’t in the United States, they stood with their community and offered their love.
She then dedicated the song ‘Come to Mama’ to anyone struggling, feeling lonely or powerless, or grieving the loss of someone they loved, especially those facing overwhelming hardship and uncertainty about the future.
As someone who spends a lot of time thinking about well-being and community, I was deeply moved by a recent statement. It really hit home when the speaker said we need to prioritize safety, peace, and taking responsibility for our actions. It shouldn’t be a constant struggle for good people to simply live well and be treated with respect. My biggest hope is that our leaders are hearing this – that they’ll listen to the call for change and act with compassion for everyone in our nation. It’s a message about creating a better, more humane environment for all of us.
It’s been a difficult time, and I’m really grateful for the support of my community, friends, and family – they’ve kept me going. I’d like to sing a hopeful song now, hoping to offer a little bit of positivity tonight.
Lady Gaga has recently publicly criticized ICE, adding her voice to a number of celebrities who have condemned the agency following the tragic events in Minneapolis.
At recent events like the Golden Globes and Sundance Film Festival, celebrities including Mark Ruffalo, Olivia Wilde, and Wanda Sykes have spoken out against ICE.
