Lady Gaga reveals whether she wants children with fiance Michael Polansky

With wedding plans underway for her and fiancé Michael Polansky, Lady Gaga is also excited about the possibility of starting a family and becoming a mother.

The 39-year-old, who is now an actress as well as a singer, told Stephen Colbert during an interview on The Late Show that becoming a mother is what she anticipates most.

When asked about her future plans – whether she’d prefer to act in films or on Broadway – she replied, ‘I’m interested in doing a lot of different things, definitely including both. However, my biggest goal right now is to become a mother. I’m hoping that will be my next big role!’ She emphasized that being a mom is what she truly desires. It’s a role she’s excited about.

I was absolutely captivated listening to her talk about the man she’s going to marry! She was just glowing, saying, ‘He’s my best friend in the whole world. What can you say about your best friend?’ It was so sweet and genuine, and really made me think about my own closest friendships.

The singer shared that she feels strong and confident as a woman in the music industry, especially because she has a supportive and loving partner who is always there for her.

I’ll never forget meeting him back in 2019. He completely captivated me right from the start. I truly believe he *really* understood me, and I felt like I understood him too. It was an instant connection, and I always felt seen by him, which meant the world to me. He just had this way of really seeing people.

Rumors of a romance between the couple began circulating around New Year’s Eve 2019, and they publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram in early 2020.

Polansky graduated from Harvard University in 2006 and currently leads the Parker Group, which is run by Napster founder Sean Parker.

Over the years they’ve been together, Gaga and Polansky have gone to events like the Super Bowl, the BAFTAs, and the Critics Choice Awards as a couple.

Reports surfaced in August 2024 that the couple was beginning to plan their wedding, and discussions about a prenuptial agreement were also happening.

Lady Gaga is apparently trying to establish a legal contract to protect her $900 million fortune before her wedding.

And Polansky, who has a $600 million net worth as head of The Parker Foundation, is on board.

Oh my gosh, I read this report from In Touch last year, and a friend of the couple *totally* let slip that they absolutely *needed* a prenup! Apparently, both of them have a *lot* of stuff – serious assets, you know? – and the prenup was just to, like, make everything super clear and avoid any mess later. I mean, can you imagine? It’s just smart thinking, really, but it also makes me feel like they’re preparing for the worst… which breaks my heart, honestly!

According to an insider, Gaga has a net worth of $900 million, so a prenuptial agreement is definitely necessary. ‘And Michael understands that,’ the source added. ‘He’s not fighting it.’

Last week, the famous pop singer used Instagram to wish her future husband a happy birthday in a public post.

She shared an intimate photo of them kissing while celebrating his special day.

In a touching message to her 61.3 million followers, she posted, ‘Happy Birthday to my honey.‘

I’m wishing you all the best as you turn 42. You’ve accomplished so much in your life so far. I’m incredibly proud of you daily – and I’m especially thankful for the day you were born, it truly was a special day.

She excitedly shared, ‘Today is the best day of the year! It’s a cool, almost rainy day-perfect for a long walk-and it’s made even better by a happy birthday and lots of fun, plus delicious angel food cake with chocolate sauce.’

Gaga concluded the sweet note by writing, ‘I love you,’ and adding a red-lip kiss emoji.
