Lady Gaga makes VERY dramatic exit out of MTV VMAs after telling crowd she has to leave urgently

2025 MTV VMAs witnessed an abrupt departure by Lady Gaga shortly following her receipt of one of the prestigious awards of the evening.

Upon ascending the stage to receive the title of Artist Of The Year, the 39-year-old performer addressed the enthusiastic audience, informing them that she needed to depart unexpectedly prior to the conclusion of the event.

At the VMAs, Gaga, who took home the first award of the evening, shared that she was heading to her sold-out concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, a 20-mile journey away from the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York where the event was being hosted.

She told the crowd, “Regrettably, I must leave now and return to Madison Square Garden, but it’s been an absolute pleasure watching these fantastic shows. Farewell and thank you.

She dedicated the honor to her fiancé Michael Polansky before ending her heartfelt speech.

By the close of Sunday night, she will have concluded a pair of performances at MSG, which is part of her celebrated Mayhem Ball tour. This is mere days following an unexpected cancelation in Miami due to vocal issues.

On the eve prior to the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga taped her act for the broadcast during her weekend show at Madison Square Garden.

On Sunday’s event, MTV broadcasted clips of her performing the popular tune “Abracadabra” as well as her latest single “Dead Dance,” which was featured on Netflix’s Wednesday.

At present, she’s performing live concerts to promote her album titled “Mayhem” in numerous cities across both the U.S. and Canada. Subsequently, she plans to travel to the UK and tour various cities throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

Her appearance at the VMAs signified her much-anticipated comeback to the awards event, following a hiatus of five years.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself in an exceptionally honored position tonight, boasting a remarkable 12 nominations across various categories. Among these, I’m particularly thrilled about the nod for Video Of The Year for my collaboration with the phenomenal Bruno Mars on our heartfelt duet, Dying With A Smile.

They, along with their partner in collaboration, were recognized in categories such as Best Pop, Best Collaborative Work, and Song of the Year for their duet performance.

In the awards, her album titled “Mayhem” was nominated for the category of Best Album, while her “Abracadabra” music video was shortlisted in three different categories: Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography.

On the night of Sunday, Gaga won a total of four MTV VMA Awards. These included the categories of Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration for “Die With A Smile” featuring Bruno Mars, Best Direction, and Best Art Direction for her music video “Abracadabra.

Gaga already has 18 VMA wins under her belt.

This year also marks the third time that Gaga led MTV’s list of VMA nominees.

In 2010, she led the rankings with 13 nominations, and she did it again in 2020, sharing the top spot with nine total nominations.

In this rephrased version, I’ve attempted to make the sentence more engaging and easier to understand:

“Lady Gaga, known for her hit ‘Bad Romance’, is followed by Bruno Mars who boasts an impressive 11 nominations. Kendrick Lamar trails closely behind with a total of ten nominations.

Taylor Swift didn’t put out any new singles or albums over the past year, which means she is nominated for just one award – Artist of the Year.
