La Quimera is an Ambitious FPS From Drive Director and the Studio Behind Metro Series

The independent studio Reburn (previously known as 4A Games Ukraine) has unveiled “La Quimera,” a narrative-driven sci-fi shooter set in a futuristic Latin America. Notably, the game is crafted by the same team responsible for the Metro series (Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and Metro: Exodus). Additionally, it features a storyline and universe conceived by EJA Warren and Nicolas Winding Refn, director of Drive, The Neon Demon, and Pusher.

In the sprawling Latin American megapolis known as La Quimera, you’ll find yourself navigating through lush jungles, all while donning a customizable exosuit. As a struggling PMC soldier, you’re embroiled in battles against rival factions. You’ll have access to cutting-edge weapons and technology, with the added option of playing alone or teaming up with two others in 3-player co-op mode.

Dmytro Lymar, founder and CEO of Reburn, is thrilled to present ‘La Quimera’, a game that leverages our expertise in creating story-rich shooter games from the ‘Metro’ series,” he stated. “We can’t wait to unveil this enigmatic universe to players and hope they’ll enjoy immersing themselves in the action of joining the battle.

Developer Reburn boasts over 110 team members who have worked on the Metro series games and the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R., with La Quimera set for launch on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. However, a specific release date has not been disclosed as of now. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
