Kylie Minogue is forced to CANCEL four concerts due to illness after completing the UK leg of her Tension Tour
Due to falling ill, Kylie Minogue regrettably had to scrap her plans for four performances as part of the Tension Tour.
56-year-old artist launched her long-awaited concert series in Perth, Australia, this past February, marking her first tour since the 2019 Golden Tour and her largest one since 2011.
Upon wrapping up my tour in the UK this past week, I was unfortunately forced to scrap performances in Berlin, Lodz, Kaunas, and Tallinn due to a diagnosis of laryngitis.
Kylie posted on Instagram saying: “Hi everyone, you might be aware that last week we wrapped up the UK part of the Tension Tour. I managed to complete it (hooray), but sadly I’ve been hit by a viral illness (apparently laryngitis).
Although I’ve given my utmost effort to bounce back quickly so we can kick off our next venture on Monday, I regret to inform you that my recovery might take a few more days. I want to assure you that as soon as I’m feeling well enough and ready to give my best performance, I will be back on stage for us.

Laryngitis refers to swelling or irritation of the voice box (larynx), which can result in a rough or mute voice.
It’s usually caused by a viral infection, vocal strain, or irritation of the vocal cords.
She mentioned: “I truly apologize! Unfortunately, it’s necessary to reschedule the performances in Berlin, Lodz, Kaunas, and Tallinn as originally planned.
We’re working hard to find new dates for your tickets, and as soon as we have more information, we’ll let you know right away. In the meantime, please hang onto your tickets securely.
Appreciate your comprehension – it’s no secret that I hold a special place for each of you. And let me tell you, I absolutely adore this show! I’ll surely miss the fun next week, but I’m already looking forward to our reunion. Sending love, Kylie xx
Kylie’s Tension Tour is divided into five segments, beginning with her 2024 hit “Lights, Camera, Action” as the opening number, followed by fan favorites such as “In Your Eyes,” “Get Outta My Way,” and “Spinning Around.
Towards the end of the performance, Kylie Minogue showcased a few of her classic tunes such as “Better the Devil You Know” and “The Locomotion.
In the grand finale, I had the privilege of witnessing some of her beloved songs such as Padam Padam, Can’t Get You Outta My Head, and All The Lovers. To top it off, there was an encore performance of Tension and Love At First Sight. What a memorable experience!

The Australian female artist with the most sales ever recorded in Australia, and the third-highest in the UK, is just now gaining recognition in the U.S., primarily due to the widespread popularity of her 2023 smash hit “Padam Padam.
In 2023, it was disclosed by her record label that the singer is determined to penetrate the U.S. market with great focus.
Through Padam Padam and its subsequent release, Tension, she significantly reversed her fate in America, earning a Grammy, securing another number one on the U.S. Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and landing a residency in Las Vegas.
In 2022, Kylie admitted that she had come to terms with the reality that the United States might not resemble the rest of the globe for her.
‘I’m anonymous there — which, I must confess, I kind of like.’
In addition to stating to The Express in 2009: “It doesn’t bother me that I haven’t cracked America… what bothers me is being questioned about it, the presumption that it’s a significant gap in my career and personal life.
‘My time is spent more throughout Europe… the U.S.A. has remained at arm’s length.’
During a conversation about her intentions to break into America, Jamie Nelson, the Senior Vice President of U.K. Recordings at BMG (Minogue’s label), expressed confidence to Variety in 2023 that the song “Padam Padam” would perform well.
He mentioned that the situation is transitioning into uncharted territories, attributing the widespread popularity of the song to TikTok and other social media platforms.
