Kylie Jenner was left ‘weeping’ after revealing to daughter Stormi, 8, why the Kardashians are famous

Kylie Jenner became tearful while explaining to her daughter, Stormi, how her family first became famous.

I was listening to the latest episode of Big Bro with Kid Cudi, and the makeup mogul, who’s only 28, was sharing a really interesting story. It was fascinating to hear her talk about it!

Jenner told Stormi that their family became famous in 2007 thanks to their TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and didn’t discuss the controversy surrounding Kim Kardashian’s earlier fame.

Jenner remembered telling her, “We both started working on a TV show when I was just a year older, and that’s what brought us all together.”

‘[Stormi] was like, “Can I watch it?” And I’m like, “Sure.”‘

Jenner showed her children, four-year-old Aire and Stormi (whose father is Travis Scott), an episode of an E! show, which surprisingly made her cry.

Afterward, I was really overwhelmed with emotion,” Jenner shared with Kid Cudi. “I’m not sure what triggered it, but I ended up crying in bed. I honestly don’t know why it happened.

When Jenner was only nine years old, she first became known to audiences on the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, alongside her sisters Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kendall.

I was reflecting on how much my daughter reminds me of myself, and also feeling thankful for my family and everything we’ve accomplished together. It also brought up a bit of sadness, thinking about when we all lived together and how close we were.

‘It was very emotional,’ she added. ‘I didn’t know it was going to hit me like that.’

Kendall Jenner became famous while growing up on the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which aired on E! for 14 years, from 2007 to 2021.

The show offered viewers a look into the often chaotic lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family, while Kim navigated building her career after a personal video became public.

After appearing on their original show for 20 seasons, the Kardashian-Jenner family – including Caitlyn Jenner, Rob Kardashian, and Kris Jenner – launched a new series, ‘The Kardashians,’ on Hulu in 2022.

The reality show ‘The Kardashians’ finished its seventh season in late 2025, and fans can expect the eighth season to arrive later in 2026.

During the interview, Jenner also shared her worries about how her family’s increasing fame might affect her children as they grow up.

She admitted she’s worried about Stormi turning fifteen and how fame might impact her daughter. ‘It’s really scary thinking about how it will affect them,’ she explained.

In the meantime, Jenner said she is trying to stay ‘grounded’ for her children.

She said she’s grateful to go home to her family and children, who fill her life with love and are blissfully unaware of the challenges she faces.

‘They definitely keep me grounded,’ she added.

During the podcast, Jenner also shared some uncommon insights about her relationship with Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for an Oscar.

She started dating the 30-year-old actor in 2023, after ending her relationship with Travis Scott, the father of her child, in 2022. Their relationship had been on-and-off before they finally split.

Jenner was asked about her favorite movie of Chalamet’s by host Kid Cudi.

She admitted it was difficult to choose, saying she cared for all of the films. Ultimately, she decided her favorite was ‘Call Me By Your Name’.

Armie Hammer appeared in a romantic drama centered around Elio Perlman, a teenager who spends the summer with his family at their historic Italian villa. There, he develops a passionate connection with Oliver, a charming graduate student working for his father.

Okay, seriously, Timothée Chalamet in Dune? I’m obsessed! Jenner totally gets it, she was saying how much she loves those movies, and honestly, same! We’re both counting down the days until Dune 3 comes out, it’s going to be epic!
