Kylie Jenner Recycles Controversial Bikini Years After Copycat Drama

Kylie Jenner shared a memory of her controversial 2016 Coachella bikini look on Friday. 

27-year-old reality television personality shared an old photo from that style on her Instagram Stories, as she was having fun at the Indio, California music festival.

In the picture, she donned a sparkly evil-eye bikini from the Australian brand Discount Universe, accessorized with lavender and teal braids and soft, powder-blue slippers.

In a simpler phrasing, ‘Kylie’ labeled the picture with the term ‘Mood,’ as she donned a revealing latex gown the previous day in sweltering desert heat.

2016 saw allegations that she had imitated the style of British influencer and fashion designer, Brit Day, who donned a similar outfit at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival in Byron Bay, Australia about a few weeks earlier, complete with identical braided hairstyles.

In that moment, Day shared a split image on Instagram accompanied by the comment, “When baby Kylie Jenner copies your style!” or “At the time, Day posted a dual photo on Instagram with the caption ‘When Kylie Jenner adopts your look!’

Initially, the image rapidly spread across various platforms, catching the attention of multiple news sources. However, Day clarified that she hadn’t intended her post to convey a negative message.

She shared with Daily Mail Australia, “I was absolutely delighted [when I noticed Kylie’s attire]. It’s fantastic to learn that my admiration for her might be reciprocated!

I didn’t mean my post to be negative; it can be tricky for people to understand the true intent of messages on social media.

Kylie posted the photo following her unexpected visit to the Revolve & Sprinter pool party in Palm Springs, California on Friday, which had everyone’s hearts pounding.

Undeterred by the scorching desert heat, the successful lipstick entrepreneur boldly flaunted a tight, revealing yellow latex minidress featuring a deep-cut neckline as she enthusiastically marketed her vodka brand.

The television personality combined the outfit with sandals, letting her dark hair cascade in loose curls.

At the event, Kylie, who’s dating Timothée Chalamet, might have encountered her former partner, rapper Travis Scott, since he was performing there. Prior to his performance, she posted a few photos without a shirt on as a teaser. However, Timothée was not spotted at the party.

Kylie and Travis Scott, famously known as the creator of Sicko Mode, have a family of four. Their children are 7-year-old Stormi and 3-year-old Aire, born to Jacques Bermon Webster II.

At the recent gathering, the mother of two, having parted ways with Travis towards the end of last year, was a sight to behold as she enthusiastically showcased herself, joyously announcing the fresh tastes available for her bottled vodka soda line.

She accessorized with a number of small diamond earrings.

Apart from posting, Kylie Jenner additionally uploaded several Instagram Stories. One of these stories featured her striding in a snug outfit, accompanied by a soundbite from the Kardashians’ reality television series.

In the recording, it appears that Khloe complimented Kylie by saying she looked cute, to which Kylie replied with a stronger affirmation, suggesting she looked more than just cute.

A video showed her giving sister Kendall Jenner, who is 29 years old, sips from her drink as a means of hydration during their workout session.

She was then seen wiping herself off with a towel.

Kylie then did the same to Kendall’s two pals, while saying, ‘yummy, yum yum yum.’

Her caption read: ‘Hydrating the girlies.’

Kylie’s Sprinter vodka soda launched in 2024.

Additionally, the influential figure posted a picture alongside her friend Harry Hudson; they were both casually dressed, with her donning a white cropped top and black yoga pants.

The party was one of many that take place during the Coachella music festival.

On Friday, it seemed like her former partner, Travis, posted some photos from his hotel room, prior to his Saturday evening show.

The musician showed off his six-pack abs in two Instagram photos.

After breaking up with Travis, Kylie has since found a new relationship with Timothee Chalamet, who is known for his role in Dune. Their romantic involvement was initially reported in the year 2023.
