Kyle Sandilands makes shock return to his radio show after threatening to quit following on air tantrum
On Thursday, Kyle Sandilands resumed his radio broadcast, following an emotional exit the previous day during a live broadcast.
On Tuesday, the radio hosts, including the shock jock and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, found themselves subject to significant censorship as they delved into the case surrounding Tamika Chesser, a former Beauty and the Geek star who is currently accused of murder.
On Wednesday, Kyle expressed his displeasure by stating that it was unjust for TV shows and newspapers to discuss the case before he could even appear on the program, after which he left the set in anger.
Contrary to his statement, the 54-year-old made a comeback on Thursday instead of staying off air this week.
Kyle shared with Jackie O that neither of them had brought it up this morning, and he realized he’d overlooked it the day before.

He mentioned that he couldn’t remember the specific details, and then asked for a recap of the events on the show after he left.
On Wednesday’s radio broadcast, I found myself venting my frustration over the apparent double standard in regards to ‘contempt of court’ cases. Feeling rather indignant, I chose to exit the show, unable to contain my feelings any longer.
He went on to say that the ‘radio laws should be overhauled’, before the show was taken off air.
‘This means
someone has said something inappropriate and is currently getting in trouble,’ a recorded voice said. ‘The broadcast will return in seconds.’
Returning to the broadcast, Kyle, seemingly working from his home studio, appeared displeased by the interruption and targeted the censorship team at KIIS FM.
He mentioned that the program was abruptly ended, interrupting an ongoing conversation we had previously agreed upon with our legal team regarding recent events occurring within the show.
‘Why was that dumped, censor, when I was using all the correct lingo?’
The head of censorship informed him that it was Bruno Bouchet, director of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, who decided to cancel the program.

Kyle became furious, exclaiming that he would only quit when rules were being violated, followed by his dramatic departure from the program.
‘You know what? I’m going home – oh sorry, I’m already home.
I have no intention of spending my time complying with all these outdated rules and instructions that are being handed down to me. I simply won’t do it.” This version retains the original message while using more natural, conversational language and simplifying some of the complex sentence structures in the original.
‘I’m not interested in being puppeteered by losers.’
Kyle didn’t stop there; he also mentioned that he wouldn’t be back on the radio.
‘Some laws are just so dumb and stupid, and I’m not playing ball,’ he said.
I won’t return to the airwaves until I feel the show is being managed according to my vision, in no capacity, manner, or format whatsoever.
I refuse to spend my time treading carefully around others’ expectations of how I should act or behave. Instead, I will chart my own path.

‘I do what I want to do and if you don’t like it, tough s***. That’s the way it is with me.’
Later, Kyle playfully suggested that he would look for Bruno using ‘his dogs and a baseball bat’ around his place, prior to his manager resuming speaking on the microphone.
He confessed to taking the program off the air, stating: “Indeed, it was due to the disregard for court proceedings. Frankly, I don’t want anyone ending up in jail as a result.
Kyle found this situation very unpleasant, and he responded by stating that he’d prefer to serve jail time instead of being ordered around.
‘I’d rather be r***d in jail than be puppeteered by losers,’ he spat.
‘The show has been completely ruined. I don’t care if the judges, ACMA, or the radio station management feel the same way.’
Kyle then said that he would be off air until at least Monday before making his exit.
‘Enjoy the rest of the week, guys. Arrivederci from me,’ he signed off.
On June 19, ex-reality TV personality Tamika Chesser was taken into custody following an incident at her shared residence in Port Lincoln. The incident involved a minor fire that led authorities to respond. Her partner, Julian Daniel Story, is 39 years old.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, they discovered Mr. Story’s limbs scattered across the bathroom floor of his apartment, with his head nowhere to be found.
At the location of the incident, Chesser was taken into custody and indicted for homicide. Presently, she’s detained at James Nash House, which specializes in mental health care.
