At the time, she was reportedly staying at a Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

As stated by NAMI Sonoma County (National Alliance on Mental Illness), under the laws of California, specific licensed professionals are authorized to temporarily detain an individual for a period of 72 hours for psychiatric evaluation.

During a 5150, a person is taken into custody and held for up to 72 hours for evaluation.’

In the current circumstances, it’s essential for the healthcare institution or hospital to conduct a comprehensive assessment of that individual. This evaluation should encompass aspects related to their health, mental state, education background, social status, financial situation, and any legal matters involving them.

According to TMZ’s report, sources within law enforcement stated that Kyle expressed concern about Kim’s sobriety, suggesting she was in a precarious situation, and further added that the whole family was anxious about her wellbeing and potential survival.

Kim’s struggle with sobriety was documented during her time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

During the premiere of their reality series back in 2010, Kyle made accusations towards Kim that she had a drinking problem during a heated conversation. A year following this incident, Kim sought treatment at a rehabilitation center.

Back in April 2015, Kim was taken into custody due to excessive intoxication at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Later that year, she sought help at a rehabilitation center located in Malibu.

2016 saw her trace the origins of her struggles with addiction back to her separation from her second spouse, Gregg Davis, which occurred in 1991.
