Kuro Games has announced Wuthering Waves: Elysium, an animated series inspired by their popular action RPG, Wuthering Waves. The series is being created by Kuro Onroad, Kuro Games’ animation studio, and a new trailer gives fans a glimpse of the show’s stunning visuals and world.
Cartethyia and a mysterious new character revealed in the Wuthering Waves: Elysium teaser
The first trailer shows Cartethyia with a new, unidentified character on the beaches of Rinascita. The animation style is similar to the game, but with improved graphics, as you’d expect from a high-budget production.

The new trailer introduces us to characters like Cartethyia, Aemeath, Aimes, Yangyang, and Jinhsi from Wuthering Waves. The trailer focuses heavily on Cartethyia, showing her arriving on a beach with seagulls before the camera reveals another character walking with her towards a castle.
The brief teaser aims to establish the atmosphere more than explain the plot, leaving much open to interpretation. Besides this reveal trailer, Kuro Games hasn’t shared many details about Wuthering Waves: Elysium. This game is also part of a rising trend of franchises expanding their reach beyond video games into animation and other forms of entertainment.
Recently, several popular games have expanded into animation. Free Fire announced plans for an anime series coming in 2027, Among Us released an animated show, Cookie Run: Kingdom introduced the girl group B!TES, and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE started sharing animated shorts called Outpost: Off-Duty Tales.
It’s still unclear what form this project will take – whether it’ll be a complete anime series, short animated clips, or something else entirely.
