On Saturday, Kristen Stewart and her co-star Imogen Poots attended a special screening of their film, The Chronology Of Water, at White City House in London.
The couple smiled happily for photos and shared laughs onstage while being interviewed by Briony Hanson, the Director of Film at the British Council.
Okay, let’s talk style! I spotted Imogen, who’s 36, looking absolutely fabulous in a brown lace top paired with a suede midi skirt – so sophisticated! And Kristen, 35, kept things effortlessly cool and casual in a gorgeous burnt orange jacket. Both looks were fantastic examples of how to dress your age and feel confident!
A few friends joined the pair for their event including Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, 45.
Critics have widely praised the movie for tackling tough subjects like childhood trauma and addiction.
Earlier this month, Kristen received the Rising Star Director Award at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival for her first time directing a film.

She also co-produced and adapted “The Chronology of Water” for the screen, based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s powerful 2011 memoir.
Imogen plays Lidia in a moving drama about a woman who overcomes a difficult childhood to become a competitive swimmer.
The drama’s already impressive cast is completed by the addition of Jim Belushi, Tom Sturridge, Thora Birch, and Kim Gordon from the band Sonic Youth.
Kirsten debuted the film at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and it received excellent reviews and a standing ovation from the audience.
Variety praised the film as a powerful and moving story of overcoming hardship, filled with beautiful imagery. Indiewire’s David Ehrlich noted that every moment of the movie is bursting with the intense creativity of its filmmaker.
Okay, so after the Cannes premiere, Kristen was talking to AFP, and honestly, it was EVERYTHING. She basically said she’d never read a book that felt so desperately meant to be a film – like it was practically begging to be brought to life and felt like something that needed to exist on screen, you know? It just completely captivated her, and she had to tell Lidia’s story. I mean, she just got it, and it was so amazing to hear her talk about it like that!
She excitedly explained how amazing it was that Lidia could transform unpleasant or difficult things into something beautiful and hopeful, something you could actually find happiness in.
I was really drawn to making this movie because I found the story incredibly funny and joyful – it felt like sharing a fun secret. I also see the book as a real source of hope and support.

The experience launched Lidia’s career and turned her into a popular author. Her TED Talk, “The Beauty of Being a Misfit,” went viral and even led to a book based on its message, called “The Misfit’s Manifesto.”
Kristen explained to AFP that simply being a woman can be a difficult and even traumatic experience. She noted that this holds true even if a woman hasn’t faced the severe hardships shown in the film, or the particularly challenging journey Lidia went through and ultimately overcame.
The actress, known for her role in Twilight, stated that the book didn’t particularly resonate with her own life story.
She shared that she didn’t need to do much research, explaining that after 35 years of living as a woman, she’s simply drawing on her own experiences and observations of the world.
I’ve always connected deeply with this film, and it’s not about needing to have experienced direct abuse. For me, it’s about recognizing those feelings of having something taken from you, of not being able to speak your truth, and that resulting lack of self-trust. It takes a long time to heal from that. What really strikes me is how universally relatable it is – I truly believe it speaks to anyone who’s hurting, and honestly, that feels like most of us.
Kristen explained to reporters that she hadn’t considered playing the role of Lidia herself until she chose Imogen, whom she praised as ‘the best actress of her generation’.
