Kristen Bell reveals issues with her ‘opposite’ Dax Shepard following controversy over anniversary post

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are very different people, and they’ve faced many challenges over their 12 years of marriage, but they’ve worked through them together.

The 45-year-old actress, known for Frozen, told People magazine on Thursday that she often finds herself drawn to people very different from herself. She described her own relationship with her husband as a classic example of ‘opposites attract’.

‘But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t make it work, or didn’t want to make it work.’

Kristen explained that she and Dax, who hosts the Armchair Expert podcast, are working on finding compromises and need to be patient with each other in the process.

Bell explained that they generally expect to disagree on many things, but they’re committed to discussing those differences respectfully.

The couple, originally from Michigan and first meeting at a dinner party in 2007, have two daughters: Lincoln, age 12, and Delta, age 10.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have appeared together in numerous projects, including the TV shows Family Game Fight, HouseBroken, Ultra City Smiths, and The Good Place, as well as the films CHiPs, The Boss, When in Rome, Hit and Run, and Veronica Mars. They also worked together on the show Terrific Trucks.

Both Bell and Shepard have restricted comments on their Instagram pages, and she has canceled her upcoming appearance on TODAY after facing criticism for a recent, insensitive post about their wedding anniversary.

The Emmy-nominated actress shared a message celebrating her twelfth wedding anniversary. She quoted her husband, who jokingly told her, ‘I would never kill you. Some men have, unfortunately, killed their wives. Despite having what might seem like a strong reason to, I wouldn’t.’

To make matters worse, October happens to be Domestic Violence Awareness month.

According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are both quick to react and can get upset over minor things. They often tease each other, but sometimes a playful comment unintentionally hurts the other’s feelings. Despite their sometimes rocky interactions, they always seem to resolve their differences.

Kristen and Dax sometimes go for days without speaking after a big fight, but they make a point of not letting their children know when they’re arguing.

Kristen Bell returned to her role as Joanne, a podcast host who doesn’t believe in God, for the second season of the popular Netflix comedy ‘Nobody Wants This’. She also served as an executive producer on the 10-episode season, which began streaming on Thursday. The show, created by Erin Foster, has received positive reviews.

Leighton Meester, who is married to Adam Brody – her co-star’s real-life husband – will appear as a guest on the show this season. However, Adam Brody won’t be making a guest appearance himself.

I’d definitely love to have him as a guest on the show, but I doubt he’ll accept. He’s mostly retired from acting now,” said the co-founder of All In Food to People magazine.

‘Maybe he’ll go back one day, but he loves podcasting and he’s not starved for opportunities.’

The actor, known for his role in Idiocracy, hasn’t appeared in anything since voicing a character in the animated series Stoner Cats in 2022. His last on-screen role was as Mike in the 2020 ABC sitcom Bless This Mess.
