In 1976, Kristofferson portrayed the character of troubled musician John Norman Howard in a remake of “A Star Is Born,” sharing the screen with Barbra Streisand. His performance earned him a Golden Globe award in 1977.
Besides his notable roles, Kristofferson also appeared as the character Whistler in the action movies starring Wesley Snipes titled “Blade” (released in 1998), “Blade II” (2002), and the compilation film “Blade: Trilogy” (2004).
