The film Kraven The Hunter begins with a young Sergei suffering a vicious lion attack. He’s rescued by Calypso, who uses a ritual to enhance his strength, agility, and connection with the animal kingdom. Driven by this power, Sergei fights back against hunters. After a tragedy involving Calypso’s friend, Sergei and Calypso form an alliance.

Verdict on Kraven The Hunter
Recap
This film centers on a man who gains animalistic abilities after a traumatic event. He initially uses these powers to aggressively combat crime, but the stakes become personal when his family is threatened, forcing him to fight for their safety.
Best Parts
Kraven’s goal explores the proper use of superpowers – specifically, removing dangerous individuals. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Foreigner also has a compelling mission that’s captivating to follow.
Worst Parts
While the character’s main goal is admirable, the story itself isn’t very engaging. It doesn’t quite achieve the gritty, intense tone it aims for, and it also feels out of place within the current Marvel style.
Final Thoughts – Kraven The Hunter lacks the edge the character feels like it could have.
