KRAFTON seals $14 million acquisition of controlling stake in Nautilus Mobile
Story Highlights
- KRAFTON has acquired a majority stake in Nautilus Mobile, the studio behind Real Cricket.
- Nautilus Mobile, previously acquired by JetSynthesys, will continue collaborating as a minority stakeholder.
- The acquisition aims to expand Real Cricket, boost mobile gaming, and develop the e-cricket Esports ecosystem.
Krafton makes a significant move in the Indian game market by purchasing a significant share in Nautilus Mobile, creators of the popular Real Cricket series. This deal, valued at approximately $14 million (around ₹118 crore), marks Krafton’s first substantial investment where they gain full control over an Indian gaming studio.
Established in 2013, Nautilus Mobile has turned Real Cricket into one of the most played mobile cricket games. Initially offering 2D versions, they later provided a more immersive experience with the 3D version of the game. Last year, they introduced a streamlined, user-friendly version called Real Cricket Swipe.
KRAFTON and Nautilus Mobile will look to push e-Cricket and Esports opportunities
Previously, KRAFTON had invested approximately $4.7 million (around ₹40.5 crore) in the company way back in 2022. On the occasion of Nautilus’s 10th anniversary, this same company was acquired by JetSynthesys. The objective behind KRAFTON’s acquisition is to leverage Nautilus Mobile’s proficiency in cricket games with KRAFTON’s extensive global resources.

Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, commented: “We’ve seen firsthand the remarkable growth of Nautilus Mobile and their skill in creating top-tier gaming content under Jet Synthesys’ guidance. This acquisition underscores our commitment to turning India into a global center for game development, reflecting our long-term strategy.
Anuj Mankar, as CEO of Nautilus Mobile, along with Rajan Navani, the Founder-CEO of JetSynthesys, shared their enthusiasm regarding the partnership. They anticipate that this collaboration will open up fresh avenues in mobile gaming and contribute to establishing a global e-cricket Esports ecosystem in India and beyond.

Despite the recent acquisition, JetSynthesys will still hold a substantial minority share. The collaboration between the two companies will persist, focusing mainly on crucial aspects such as the Esports sector, which KRAFTON has verified.
