- Krafton India surveys hint at possible BGMI Lite development and in-game ads testing.
- Players were asked about ad placements and Lite-specific gameplay expectations.
- BGMI Lite could target low-end devices and a more casual battle royale audience.
KRAFTON India may be planning a lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Reports suggest they’re gauging player interest with a recent survey that asks for feedback on a potential BGMI Lite version, among other things.
Recently, BGMI players have been getting detailed surveys within the game. These surveys ask for feedback on things like bugs, server problems, and how enjoyable the game is. Interestingly, the surveys also included questions about in-game ads and a specific section dedicated to BGMI Lite.
PUBG Mobile already has a “lite” version, but it is not playable in India
The survey asked players about ads and a potential ‘Lite’ version of the game. This indicates that KRAFTON India is considering both adding ads to BGMI and creating a simpler, lighter version of the game for players with different needs.
There’s another reason people are asking for a “lite” version of the game. PUBG Mobile already has a lighter version called PUBG MOBILE LITE, but Indian players currently can’t access that one either.
PUBG MOBILE LITE delivers a solid battle royale experience even on phones with less storage and memory. It’s a streamlined version of the original game, featuring quicker matches, smaller game areas, and faster-paced action. You’ll also find popular modes like Arena and team play, plus features to help prevent cheating.
If BGMI Lite is released, it will probably be similar to the original BGMI but designed for phones with less processing power, focusing on players who enjoy a more relaxed battle royale experience. Many believe it could also attract players who currently play games like Garena Free Fire.
The developers haven’t made an official announcement yet, but if BGMI Lite is released, it could be a great option for players who prefer a smaller, less demanding game in terms of size and graphics. You can share your feedback in the official survey here.
