Krafton India’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is set to introduce an unprecedented dual qualification framework for Indian Esports, consisting of BGMI Showdown and BMIC, as announced by Karan Pathak, the Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India. He explained that these events, including the BGMI Campus Tour, are significant milestones in a broader strategy aimed at boosting India’s profile in international Esports competition.

BGMI Showdown (BMSD)

The exciting BGMI Showdown (BMSD) commences on September 18 in the bustling city of Hyderabad. A total of 48 elite squads, selected from the BGIS, BMPS, and other recognized third-party tournaments, will be participating. The grand finale of this competition, held in a studio format, is scheduled from October 10 to 12. Be sure not to miss out on the exclusive, live-studio experience it offers!

The most exciting aspect is that the champions of this tournament will receive not only ₹1 Crore ($113k), but also a guaranteed spot at the Global Championship.
