As a dedicated PUBG gamer, I’m thrilled to share that KRAFTON is finally delivering what we’ve been waiting for all this time! They recently announced PUBG UNITED 2025, an epic esports event where champions from the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) and PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) will come together. For the first time ever, screen jockeys like myself and mobile gamers will share the same stage, making this a historic and innovative milestone for the IP. Unfortunately, there’s no confirmation yet if console players will join in on the action as well.
PUBG UNITED 2025 will unite the whole of its esports under the same banner; details to be released soon
During their announcement of an approaching festival, KRAFTON unveiled a short preview of the event, revealing key details. Among them, they confirmed that the event will commence in November. The location is Bangkok, Thailand, where it will coincide with PMGC 2025. Remarkably, the year-end esports event for the mobile version of the title will also occur in Thailand during November. Therefore, it’s apparent that PUBG UNITED 2025 will take place after the new champions have been declared, likely immediately following the conclusion of the festival.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m all geared up and eager to learn more about the upcoming tournament! While the event is confirmed, there are still some uncertainties regarding its specifics, like the structure, format, number of teams per discipline, prize money, and qualification process. But here’s what we do know – only qualified squads from both PUBG Global Championship (PGC) and PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) are set to battle it out! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for more details and a thrilling competition ahead!
An interesting journey awaits, a nice attempt to bring back the glory
Krafton continues to deliver surprises this year, with a constant stream of national, regional, and global tournaments on the horizon. This latest event is part of an ongoing effort to reclaim the mobile esports market that PUBG Mobile has lost to Mobile Legends. The announcement was made shortly after the PMWC 2025 concluded. Recently, Krafton unveiled the Esports Roadmap for BGMI in the second half of 2025 as well. We’ll be monitoring the event’s progress closely to see how it unfolds. As for whether PUBG Mobile can regain its position atop mobile esports, that remains to be seen.
