The stars of the hit show KPop Demon Hunters are very popular, and one of them is now joining the cast of a new thriller – a project that will also reunite her with a former co-star. KPop Demon Hunters itself, the incredibly successful animated musical adventure that boosted K-pop’s popularity even further, is coming back to theaters for Halloween weekend due to popular demand.
The upcoming live-action film, Perfect Girl, is following the lead of KPop Demon Hunters by including original songs. May Hong, who voiced Mira in KPop Demon Hunters, will also star in the movie. Previously announced cast members include Arden Cho (the voice of Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters), Adeline Rudolph, John Kim, and K-pop star Jeon Somi.
Along with Hong’s addition to the cast, Deadline announced that Peter Lee Jae Yoon, Samantha Cochran, AC Bonifacio, Ally, and several other K-pop stars – including Nancy from Momoland, Siyoon from Billie, and Chaerin from Cherry Bullet – will also be appearing in the film. Perfect Girl is being described as a blend of the Scream and Black Swan genres, centering on a highly competitive battle for a place in a K-pop group.
