Netflix has announced the theatrical premiere date for the special KPop Demon Hunters sing-along event.

When Kpop stars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t performing on stage, they secretly fight as powerful demon hunters to safeguard their fans from hidden supernatural dangers. Now, they are preparing to confront their toughest challenge yet – a rival boy band that turns out to be demons in disguise.
In simpler terms, the K-pop girl group Huntr/x consists of Arden Cho (known as Rumi), May Hong (Mira), and Ji-young Yoo (Zoey). The show also features Ahn Hyo-seop as Jinu, Yunjin Kim as Celine, Daniel Dae Kim as Healer Han, Ken Jeong as Bobby, and Lee Byung-hun as Gwi-Ma.
Maggie Kang, Chris Appelhans, Danya Jimenez, and Hannah McMechan collaborated on the script for the musical film “KPop Demon Hunters,” which they then directed. This production was handled by Sony Pictures Animation for distribution on Netflix.
On June 20th, the animated series KPop Demon Hunters exploded in popularity among streamers, and it currently holds the record as Netflix’s most-watched animated film ever. With a staggering 158 million views, this series ranks fourth on Netflix’s list of the most popular English-language films.
It’s noteworthy that KPop Demon Hunters has successfully penetrated the mainstream market. The soundtrack boasts a collection of original tracks sung by talented artists such as EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, SamUIL Lee, Neckwav, and Lea Salonga.
The K-pop Demon Hunters’ soundtrack ranks second on the Billboard 200, amassing over 3 billion streams worldwide so far. Meanwhile, one of the movie’s hit songs, titled Golden, has climbed to the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
