Kourtney Kardashian’s Shocking School Comments Spark Outrage: ‘Why Do Kids Even Go?’
Khloe Kardashian extended an invitation to her sibling Kourtney for a chat during her podcast, “Khloe in Wonderland.
46-year-old Kourtney expressed her thoughts on embracing authenticity rather than adhering to societal expectations within a family context, often referring to the educational system as an example.
The television personality discussed her children’s preference for home education over traditional schooling, a decision that drew criticism from fans on social networking sites, who labeled her as “detached” or “disconnected.
‘Why do kids f*****g go to school?’ Kourtney said, adding that it is ‘dated.’
Kourtney mentioned that she now works only about once a week. This decision came after the birth of her son Rocky, and it reflects her wish to spend more time at home with her children, which can be summarized as: ‘I prefer not to work much and stay home with my kids, so I would say I work around once a week.’

Kourtney Disick’s three children – Mason (age 15), Reign (age 10), and Penelope (age 12) – are all sons she has with her former partner, Scott Disick.
She welcomed son Rocky on November 1, 2023 with husband Travis Barker.
Travis shares a family history with Shanna Moakler, having raised three children together: Landon (age 21), Alabama (age 19), and Atiana De La Hoya (age 26), who was also brought up under his care.
Atiana is the daughter of Shanna and Oscar De La Hoya.
In her podcast, Kourtney expressed that living genuinely doesn’t mean adhering to established norms; instead, it varies for everyone. For instance, within our family, we may have specific routines, but this isn’t a universal rule. Using another example, let’s consider the school system – she often questions its relevance and antiquity.
‘I’m such a home school person so don’t even get me going,’ Khloe added.
Kourtney clarified: “Then I begin pondering… and then my children will share videos with me asking why they need to go to school. It seems that very successful individuals argue their kids never attend school, and they never will. And I respond, what is the objective here? If you prefer homeschooling, let’s make it happen.
On social media, Kourtney faced criticism for her views on education, particularly when she labeled attending school as an outdated concept.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), it was stated that since typical children require an education for future employment, not everyone can rely on their parents indefinitely. Another user added that some individuals cannot afford the luxury of nannies.
As a concerned observer, I find myself pondering over this situation: A mother seems to be considering whether to educate her children at home or to hire an instructor. The query arises: Which path will she choose? It’s intriguing, but it appears some individuals lack insight into the complexities of this decision-making process.
A Twitter user expressed, ‘It’s beneficial for children to attend school to avoid following a path similar to that of her or the Kardashian family.’
‘Out of touch celebrity says something that’s out of touch,’ a fan wrote.
‘Clearly her brain is outdated,’ another said.

Khloe and Kourtney also covered a number of topics, including how often Kourtney works.
When discussing being a mom to Rocky once more, she expressed: ‘Becoming a mom again sparked a profound and intense sense of my maternal role within me. It stirred my innate motherly instincts and at times, made me feel powerfully feminine. It ignited a deep-seated feeling that I am indeed a mother.’
As a devoted mother, I found myself yearning for a break from work to spend more time at home with my children. To put it simply, about once a week, I decide to balance my responsibilities by taking on some work.
Instead of filling up the entire day, it’s just a few hours that are occupied, leaving me the remainder to be fully at home and fulfilling my role as a mother, explained the celebrity.
Kourtney had Rocky nine years after giving birth to her third child – Reign.
She said that this time around, she keeps things pretty simple.
When questioned about her unique approach, Kourtney replied: “Perhaps it’s in my choice of products. I aim for the top-quality lotions and oils. Nowadays, I opt for pure organic coconut oil. I tend to keep things straightforward.
With her older children – Mason, Penelope, and Reign – she used to sleep in the same bed as them. However, when it comes to Rocky, they share a room instead.
In simpler terms, she mentioned that since her home was likely cramped with her older children, her style of parenting her younger child emphasized on keeping them close for at least the initial three years. This approach is intended to foster a sense of security in the child’s attachment.

Kourtney said she leans to her motherly instincts and that its been telling her.
She said she’s ‘go with the flow’ with her kids’ schedules and doesn’t have set times for nap.
Kourtney revealed she holds Rocky the whole time he naps.
As a devoted fan, I can share that the celebrity mentioned his weight at 23 pounds, and his longest recorded nap duration is an impressive five hours. During this time, he was peacefully resting while held by someone in a comfortable seated position on a chair.
Adding that she uses an EMF blanket for him to prevent radiation from her phone.
Kourtney shared that she practices extended breastfeeding along with co-sleeping and minimizing prolonged absences, as she and her husband Travis have welcomed their baby boy Rocky.
Regarding her experience with In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Kourtney gave it a try but eventually decided to stop the process. A year later, without further assistance, she conceived her son, Rocky, naturally.
Kourtney shared that their child was born naturally on Valentine’s Day, and she further disclosed that he arrived at the stroke of midnight on Halloween, which means his birthday is officially recognized as November 1st.
In the context of my own journey towards naturally conceiving Rocky, I learned that undergoing IVF initially felt like a struggle, a battle not only physically but also spiritually and mentally – everything I held dear and believed in. It seemed to go against the natural flow of what my body wanted. Sadly, it didn’t work for me at all. We never managed to create an embryo through IVF.
Each month, it seemed as though I was met with a discouraging failure, phrases like ‘it didn’t work’ or ‘this isn’t happening’, along with comments about my body not cooperating. Over time, these recurring sentiments began to influence how I perceived and felt about my own body. I started to doubt its capabilities, thinking things like ‘I can’t do this’.
Once I stopped holding onto everything that burdened me, it seemed as though some fearful doctors were insisting on certain treatments. It was almost as if they were saying, “You must do this.” However, once I released all of that and placed my trust in God, it came to pass.
In terms of childcare, she mentioned that instead of administering Tylenol or Ibuprofen, she prefers to let a fever run its course by nursing the child.
