Kody Brown Breaks Down Over Son Garrison’s Tragic Death: ‘I’m Still Haunted By Regret’

On Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, there was a touching segment where the family discussed the passing of Garrison Brown, the son of Kody and Janelle Brown.

On March 5, 2024, Garrison, aged 25, ended his life in his residence in Flagstaff, Arizona; the authorities reported that it was due to a gunshot wound inflicted by himself.

Janelle said that she had been in touch with her son all day long prior to his tragic death.

She mentioned that this situation was common between us, as we typically spoke around three times daily. It was clear to me that he was going through hard times. I would simply call him, and I always prioritized having conversations with him. There wasn’t any specific topic on the agenda.

In March 2024, Flagstaff police informed TMZ that it appeared Garrison had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound following an incident at his residence where someone was reported to have passed away. His brother Gabriel discovered Garrison’s body in the house, according to authorities who spoke with the outlet.

Janelle took to Instagram the day of to announce the tragic news on behalf of the family.

Janelle shared that she and Kody are heartbroken to share the tragic news about their beloved Robert Garrison Brown. He brought joy to everyone who crossed his path.

‘The void left by his departure is immense, almost overwhelming. We kindly request that you grant us some solitude during this time, and together, let’s remember him fondly.’

In a statement shared with People, TLC expressed their deep sorrow, saying, ‘We’re deeply saddened to learn about the heartbreaking demise of Garrison Brown.’

‘Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy are extended to the Brown family during these challenging moments.’

As of now, it seems like Gabe and Garrison aren’t inviting me in for a chat, or at least, they haven’t shown any interest in engaging with me.

As recently as last autumn, it seemed that Kody’s relationship with his sons had soured, but in an interview with E! News in November 2023, Janelle expressed optimism that they might mend their bond in the future.

She expressed her hope that with the passage of time, he will be able to rebuild a connection with the children he is currently estranged from.
