Knock at the Cabin writers to pen the horror thriller Wilderness Reform for Paramount

As a seasoned horror enthusiast with a knack for unearthing chilling tales that send shivers down my spine, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation at the impending adaptation of “Wilderness Reform.” Having navigated the darkest corners of various campgrounds in my youth, I’ve learned to trust my instincts when it comes to sensing something amiss. The eerie setting of a wilderness camp for troubled teens is already sending chills up my spine, and the hint of a sinister undercurrent only serves to heighten that feeling.

Paramount Pictures is currently adapting the chilling horror novel “Wilderness Reform” into a film, with writers Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman teaming up to pen the screenplay for it, titled “Knock at the Cabin.” Here’s more information about this upcoming horror production.

The movie is adapted from a book titled “Pet Sematary” published in 2024 by the writing duo Harrison and Matt Query. Lindsey Anderson Beer, known for her work on “Pet Sematary: Bloodline”, will produce this film through her Lab Brew production banner, under her first-look deal with Paramount Pictures. Additionally, Scott Glassgold, who worked on “Tarot”, will also produce the movie via his Ground Control production company.

As a captivated viewer, I found myself immersed in a gripping tale set within a seemingly idyllic wilderness camp for teenage misfits like me. However, the moment my character, a 13-year-old named Ben, stepped foot on this supposed sanctuary, an unsettling feeling washed over me. The cheerful demeanor of the counselors appeared too good to be true, fueling my suspicions that something far darker was lurking beneath the surface at this camp.

I can’t help but notice that each pal I meet in our cabin is special in their own way, boasting distinct abilities. With our summer retreat shrouded by strange occurrences and vanishings, these talents will surely prove useful as Ben and I, along with our new mates, band together to crack the enigma surrounding this camp’s eerie happenings.

$28.99 for a hardcover and $12.99 for an eBook (excluding taxes).
