As a die-hard fan who has watched every twist and turn of the Knives Out series, I can hardly contain my excitement for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery! With Rian Johnson at the helm once again, this third installment promises to be an unforgettable whodunit that’ll keep us guessing until the very end.
Knives Out 3 has received an exciting update from director Rian Johnson.
On Saturday (August 17), the filmmaker announced on Instagram that they’ve completed shooting for the upcoming murder mystery titled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery“.
He posted, along with an image of a cemetery and a sign asking for respect, “And we’ve finished filming Wake Up Dead Man.”
As someone who has been part of numerous productions over the years, I can confidently say that this particular shoot was truly exceptional. The crew and cast were nothing short of amazing – they were not just colleagues, but a group of talented individuals who made every day on set feel like a joyous collaboration.
In recent months, there has been a flurry of announcements about the upcoming Netflix movie regarding who will be playing the roles.
Initially, Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny were the initial pair chosen for the project. Later, an impressive lineup featuring Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Josh Brolin, and Thomas Haden Church joined them in the ensemble cast.
Regrettably, it seems unlikely that Tom Hardy won’t be part of the movie, contrary to earlier speculations suggesting his involvement when the cast listings were first revealed.
“Sounds cool, but no one’s asked me,” he explained when asked about the speculation.
Back in January, Johnson gave a hint about the upcoming movie titled “Wake Up Dead Man”, which he officially confirmed along with its title in May.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to unravel the mystery behind the upcoming movie! The enigmatic title alone has sparked discussions among fans, with some speculating that it might share ties with the iconic U2 tune of the same name. Can’t wait to see if this guess is on target when the film finally drops!
In approximately three years, starting from the release of the last Knives Out movie, the third installment will be available for streaming.
In Greece, the enigmatic mystery surrounding a tech billionaire and his unique circle of companions drew Detective Benoit Blanc (played by Daniel Craig), who arrived with the intention of unraveling each layer of the intricate puzzle.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is released on Netflix in 2025.
