Kit Rooney Aims to Be the Next Darts Sensation, Leaving Football Behind!
As a devoted admirer, I find it intriguing that Coleen and Wayne Rooney‘s son, Kit, is aiming to follow in the footsteps of Luke Littler, having chosen a different route from football by embracing darts instead.
Nine-year-old, identified as the WAG, aged 38, and the ex-captain of Manchester United, aged 39, shares a bond through their shared love for sports. This youngster, being their second child, is particularly captivated by it to such an extent that they celebrated their birthday with a party themed around this beloved pastime.
In January, Kit was all smiles as he stood beside extravagant balloons emblazoned with his name, along with several dartboards and a large number nine.
Previously within that same month, an enthusiastic darts-loving family visited the World Darts Championships held at London’s Alexandra Palace, where young Kit had the chance to personally encounter Luke ‘The Nuke’.
In conversation with The Sun, Coleen shared an update about her boys’ activities: “Currently, my third son prefers steak for breakfast – yes, you guessed it, that’s our darts enthusiast. At the moment, he’s aiming to make a career as a professional darts player.
Kai is currently 15 years old, while Klay will turn 12 in May. For some time now, they have been training at Manchester United’s academy.

The youngest one recently joined Everton; he’s only seven years old, yet he adores it. As for the third one, he has retired multiple times.
Or:
The youngest member has just started at Everton and is seven years old, but he’s really enjoying it. Meanwhile, the third person has retired a few times.
At Alexandra Palace, Colleen found herself drenched when she accidentally knocked over a beer, spilling it onto herself during their joyous celebration following Luke Littler’s incredible victory against three-time champion Michael van Gerwen.
Regardless of her fame, she mingled effortlessly among the crowd, herself and her sons enjoying a lively party at the boisterous gathering. They found seats at lengthy tables, engrossed in watching the tense finale unfold.
Colleen chose a stylish beige T-shirt featuring a blue and white striped border, accessorizing it with a fashionable gold watch and understated gold earrings.
Eager to record her evening, the WAG captured her friends on video, who joyfully bounced up and down when 17-year-old Luke was declared the youngest world champion ever in his sport’s history.
However, an unexpected turn of events occurred when, in her enthusiasm, Coleen unwittingly spilled beer on herself. This was clearly evident in the screams she let out in her Instagram video as the beer came into contact with her.
At that instant, Kit was startled by his mother’s loud shout, causing him to glance around in bewilderment, then refocus on what he had been doing.
In a more conversational style, Coleen captioned her post as follows: “What an incredible night we had! The kids were absolutely thrilled! Big congratulations to @lukethenukelittler!
She also said, “That’s me getting beer splattered on me while I scream,” accompanied by a laughing-out-loud emoji.

Afterward, her post was joyously reshared by the triumphant Luke, who undeniably basks in the glory of his astonishing win.
Following Coleen’s disclosure, it appears that Wayne is not planning to dive headfirst into more football management roles now that he’s been let go by Plymouth Argyle.
After a disappointing seven-month stint as a manager, the ex-captain of Manchester United, who is now 39 years old, went back to his spouse (aged 38) and their kids in Cheshire, bringing an end to that phase in his career.
Following his time at Plymouth not turning out as planned, Colleen believes Wayne is contentedly settled in his broadcasting role for the foreseeable time ahead.
Currently, he’s very content with his time on television, podcasts, and just relaxing at home. The distance to Plymouth was a bit too great for him.
At some teams, things didn’t go as planned. Yet, there is a subject that ignites his enthusiasm. Perhaps, he may explore it again in the future. His passion lies with television production.

1. Certain clubs haven’t seen success with him. However, there’s an area that sparks his interest and dedication. He might return to it someday. It so happens that his heart lies within TV broadcasting.
Colleen prefers having Wayne around more often and also shared about the challenges they faced in bringing up their four sons – Kai, aged 14, Klay, age 9, Kit, who’s 6, during the peak of his career.
She expressed: ‘Sometimes it felt similar to being a solo parent, particularly during his tenure at Manchester United and England. A solid plan was seldom available. As someone who appreciates a well-structured plan and schedule, this aspect proved challenging for me.’
