‘Kiss me. Hug me tight…’: Sharon Osbourne reveals her husband Ozzy’s poignant final ever words to her as she recounts the heartbreaking details from the day he died for the first time

Sharon Osbourne recently shared the touching last words her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, spoke to her, detailing the emotional events surrounding his passing for the very first time.

The 73-year-old star candidly shared details of what occurred during an interview with Piers Morgan on his Uncensored show, while still grieving.

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, passed away from heart failure at his home in Buckinghamshire on July 22nd. This came just two weeks after he played a final concert with his bandmates at Villa Park in Birmingham.

According to The Sun’s preview of the interview, Piers’ last words to her that day were a request for a kiss and a tight hug.

She told how on the fateful day he had woken at 4am and just 20 minutes later he was dead.

Sharon found him collapsed in their home gym while he was attempting an early morning workout, even though he’d been sick with pneumonia and sepsis before. She was horrified and screamed when she discovered him.

Hearing shouts, she rushed to the gym, knowing he typically spent as much as ninety minutes each day on the elliptical machine.

In the interview, Sharon recounted a heartbreaking scene. She explained that her husband had a heart attack, and when she rushed downstairs, paramedics were attempting to revive him. Despite their efforts, she knew it was too late and pleaded with them to stop, saying he was already gone.

I immediately realized he was gone. They did everything they could, rushing him to the hospital by helicopter, but ultimately, the doctors said there was nothing more they could do and advised them to let him go.

Before going to the gym, he told Sharon he’d been going back and forth to the bathroom all night. Around 4:30 AM, he tried to wake her up, but she pointed out that he’d already woken her up.

Then she says he told her: ‘And he said, ‘Kiss me. Hug me tight’.

He then went downstairs to the gym for his workout and within 20 minutes he was gone.

She also revealed that Ozzy was aware his life was nearing its end. A doctor warned him that performing his planned final concert would likely be too much for him, but Ozzy was determined to go through with it anyway.

After her loss, she firmly stated she would never marry again, adding with tears in her eyes, ‘I’m done with marriage.’

This follows Sharon and Kelly Osbourne’s heartfelt birthday messages for Ozzy last week.

To mark what would have been his 77th birthday, Sharon posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, including previously unreleased and affectionate photos of them together.

She wrote a heartfelt message with the slideshow, saying, ‘My love, happy birthday! I’ll hold your hand through everything, until we meet again.’

Sharon Osbourne posted a video showing a flower arrangement on Birmingham’s Black Sabbath Bridge wishing Ozzy a happy birthday. The touching clip featured his song, ‘See You On The Other Side.’

A sign among the flowers was made by four of his six children. It read, “We love you, Daddy – Louis, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.”

Kelly also shared a birthday message, writing, ‘Happy birthday, Daddy! I miss you and love you more than anything!’ She included some childhood photos of them together.

She also posted photos from a flower display in Birmingham, writing a birthday message to her father: ‘Happy birthday, Dad! You lived an extraordinary life, and though it’s hard without you, I think of you and honor your memory every single day.’

I miss you terribly, more than words can say. My love for you will last forever. I’d give anything for just one more moment with you, even something as simple as seeing you blow out a candle.

In the years before his death, Ozzy struggled with several health problems. A fall at home in 2019 made his condition even worse.

After hearing the sad news, Sharon used social media to express her gratitude for the incredible love and support her husband received from his fans.

Sharon shared that she’d relied heavily on the support of others, and was still adjusting to life after the loss of her husband, whom she considered the center of her world.

In a new documentary covering the last three years of his life, Kelly Osbourne revealed how difficult it was to watch her mother, Sharon, care for their beloved dog, Ozzy, as he became ill and eventually passed away.

Kelly shared that seeing her mother struggle was the most painful aspect of the situation.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how incredibly painful it is to watch someone you deeply love struggle with their health. It’s truly heartbreaking to witness the person you cherish most slowly losing their strength, and it takes an enormous emotional toll.

Kelly recently shared a touching video of her father decorating for Christmas. This year will be the first holiday season without him, making the clip especially poignant.

Kelly, age 41, shared that the Osbourne family has a tradition of decorating the Christmas tree as a group.

She shared that her family traditionally sets up their Christmas tree today, but this year’s celebrations will be different and sad because their beloved pet, Ozzy, has passed away.

She also posted a heartwarming video of her dad untangling Christmas lights and enjoying the holidays.

The video shows the famous musician playfully cursing while trying to untangle Christmas lights.

Ozzy then eventually shouted up to his beloved wife Sharon and asked for help as he walked away.

She shared a post from someone else saying she was supposed to be decorating the Christmas tree today, and was sad about it.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away after a six-year struggle with Parkinson’s Disease, not long after Black Sabbath played their last concert together in their home city.

Oh my god, it finally happened! Seeing Ozzy with Tony, Geezer, and Bill again… it was everything. They hadn’t all been together on stage since 2005! It was so emotional, honestly. It felt like a real goodbye to all those incredible years of live shows. I was completely blown away, and a little heartbroken, seeing them all together one last time.

A new BBC One documentary, “Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,” follows Ozzy Osbourne’s move back to the UK after living in the United States with his family for over thirty years.

The program will show Jack and Kelly Osbourne discussing the difficult final years of their father, Ozzy, and the pain their mother, Sharon, experienced while caring for him through several painful surgeries and offering him support.

The program will feature exclusive footage from his emotional final concert at Villa Park, filmed after his courageous fight with Parkinson’s disease.

This comes after the new Paramount+ documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, which includes an interview with Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter, Aimee, about the last years of his life.
