Kiriko’s clone gets major nerf in latest Overwatch 2 Stadium patch

In this update for Overwatch 2, characters like Kiriko and Juno receive adjustments that make them less powerful. However, there are boosts given to D.Va, Junkrat, and Mei, making them more effective in gameplay.

Fresh start of the week brings a new update for Overwatch 2. This time around, the focus is primarily on the Stadium game mode. The July 8th Stadium patch notes include adjustments (nerfs) for Kiriko and Juno, toning down Junkrat and D.Va, enhancements (buffs), and additional changes.

As reported by the game developers, adjustments have been made to Kiriko’s Clone Conjuration ability to make it more useful for utility purposes and as a decoy. This modification is intended to create a more balanced playing experience against Kiriko as a support hero. Now, Kiriko’s clone can inflict 65% less damage and healing compared to before.

  • Clone Conjuration – Power
    • Clone now deals 65% less healing and damage.
    • Increased duration to 4s (up from 2.5s).

Regarding other assistance characters, Juno also got a reduction in power. Her resilience and ring construction made it tough to challenge her in gameplay. In fact, the creators referred to her as a “flying Tracer” before making this adjustment.

  • Hyper Healer – Power
    • Decreased Overhealth to 75 (down from 100).

As I’m gaming, I notice that my character, Ana, is getting several tweaks to make her even more effective in supporting my team. One of these adjustments is a boost to her Biotic Grenade, making it more impactful for my teammates.

  • Our Turn – Power
    • Decreased duration reduction to 25% (down from 50%).
  • My Turn – Power
    • Increased self [Nano Boost] duration to 100% (up from 50%).
  • Your Full Potential – Power
    • Increased ultimate charge given to 35% (up from 25%).
  • Time Out – Power
    • Increased slow duration to 2.5s (up from 1.5s).
  • Venomous – Power
    • Increased damage to 75 (up from 50).

As for Zenyatta, he received changes to encourage folks to heal more while playing as him.

  • Dual Harmony – Power
    • Decreased healing reduction to 40% (down from 45%).
  • Gotta Have Faith – Power
    • Increased orb duration to 10s (up from 5s).
  • Soul Control – Power
    • Increased ultimate meter cap to 75% (up from 65%).

Overwatch 2 Stadium patch notes: July 8, 2025

In the recent Overwatch 2 Stadium update, Junkrat, Mei, and D.Va have been tweaked. While Junkrat and Mei received buffs to improve their performance, D.Va is the sole tank character who underwent changes in this particular patch.

As reported by the game creators, the move called Tokki Slam from character D.Va was initially weakened due to its potential for causing disruption. However, they overcorrected and the weakening was excessive. Consequently, the power of this ability has been boosted, dealing more damage now.

  • Tokki Slam – Power
    • Increased Tokki Slam’s damage scalar to 30% (up from 20%).

In terms of Junkrat, he got an economic boost that works nicely with his Hop Boom, Rainin’ Lead abilities, as well as Lithium Alloy and activates the Funny Fuel™ stadium hero items.

Or more casually: For Junkrat, his economy got a nice lift, complementing his Hop Boom, Rainin’ Lead skills, along with Lithium Alloy, and triggering the Funny Fuel™ stadium items.

  • Stadium Cash
    • Increased cash income from damage and healing by 11.11%.
  • It’s A(Nother) Trap – Power
    • Fixed an issue where using Steel Trap while you had 1 charge would also consume the recharging charge.
  • Hop Boom – Powerh
    • Now deals 30% reduced damage (up from 50% reduced).
  • Rainin’ Lead – Power
    • Frequency increased to every 0.3s (up from 0.4s).
  • Lithium Alloy – Epic Ability Hero Item
    • Burn damage increased to 75 (up from 50).
  • Fawkes’ Funny Fuel™- Epic Ability Hero Item
    • Ability Power increased to 15% (up from 10%).
    • Ability Lifesteal increased to 15% (up from 10%).

Finally, Mei has improved mobility now since Snowball Flight can synergize well with Twice as Ice.

  • Twice As Nice – Power
    • Twice As Ice also resets next Snowball Flight’s cooldown.
