The animated comedy King of the Hill has returned for its fifteenth season, now streaming on Hulu, and is receiving rave reviews from critics, as reflected in its high score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hulu brought back the popular animated series King of the Hill in 2023, after it ended on FOX. After a 15-year break, the show returned on Hulu, Disney’s streaming service, and proved to be a hit. Because of its success, another season was announced for 2026, and all 10 episodes were released on July 20th.
The fifteenth season of King of the Hill premiered on both Hulu and Rotten Tomatoes, earning a perfect 100% score from critics. Reviewers have praised the new episodes as hilarious and heartwarming, noting that they also tackle important issues like loneliness in today’s society.
Season fourteen felt like a cautious return for the series, but season fifteen fully embraces what longtime fans adore about King of the Hill. Reviewers agree that the show’s comeback is no accident – in fact, one critic declared it among the best TV revivals of all time.
When King of the Hill returned in 2025, critics loved it. Season 14 earned a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating of 98%, making it even more popular than the show was before.
Not every season of King of the Hill has enough reviews on Rotten Tomatoes to get a score, but the first season from 1997 was well-received, earning an 87% rating. Both season 5 and the show’s final season, season 13, have perfect 100% scores.

Throughout its run, the show has been nominated for many awards and has actually won Emmys for both exceptional animation and voice acting.
Greta Adlon has been nominated for an Emmy at the Creative Arts Emmys for her voice-over work. She’s up against popular shows like Bridgerton, The Simpsons, South Park, The Muppet Show, and Invincible. The winners will be revealed on September 5th and 6th, shortly before the main Primetime Emmy Awards.
Don’t worry, the revival of King of the Hill isn’t over with season 15! Hulu has already renewed the show for two more seasons, as announced last fall.
