King Arthur: Legends Rise is shutting down on March 12, 2026, after just one year of service

Story Highlights

  • King Arthur Legends Rise is a squad-based RPG with solid visuals, created with Unreal Engine 5.
  • You can still download it from the app stores and play, but in-app purchases are disabled.
  • The team will reveal more details about the refund schedule and process in a future notice.

Netmarble will be closing down its team-based role-playing game, King Arthur: Legends Rise, on March 12, 2026. The game, which was first revealed in March 2023 and officially released last November, will be discontinued after only one year because of challenges with running the service.

The game ended up spending more time in beta testing than in its actual launch period

I was really excited about King Arthur: Legends Rise. This squad-based RPG tells a great story about the war between the ancient Gods and Humanity, all set in a magical version of Britain. You get to assemble a team of legendary heroes and battle tough enemies as you uncover the complex story of Arthur and Excalibur.

The team behind King Arthur: Legends Rise announced on the Netmarble forum that the game will close on March 12, 2026. They explained that after careful consideration, they’ve decided it’s no longer possible to continue supporting the game.

You can download and play the game until the EOS date

After the recent announcement, we’ve turned off all in-game purchases. You can still download and play the game from the Google Play Store and App Store until its final day on March 12, 2026. After that, our community Discord server and social media pages will also close on June 13, 2026.

Refunds will be processed, but we’ll share details on how to request one later. It’s sad to see the game end, particularly because it showed promise and many players enjoyed it – one person commented that it was a good game but suffered from performance issues. Unfortunately, as another fan pointed out, this isn’t unexpected for a Netmarble game, and they were disappointed to see it go.
