Kimora Lee Simmons is back on reality TV and looks fantastic! It’s been 15 years since her popular show, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, ended.

The 50-year-old celebrity surprised fans with how young and fit she looks, giving cameras a peek into her exciting life, which she promises is now even more extravagant and over-the-top.

Kimora Lee Simmons, the businesswoman behind Baby Phat and a former model who walked for major designers like Chanel and Fendi, recently shared updates on her expanding fashion business and life raising her five children as a single mom. She looked as stylish as ever.

It’s been nearly fifteen years since you last saw me and my family, and so much has happened since then. I’ve expanded my businesses, and Baby Phat was really where it all began for me. I’ve also had the opportunity to become a fashion icon, which has been a dream come true.

She makes it clear she’s in charge, stating, ‘I collect luxurious things, and I handle everything – I’m the parent, the leader, and the financial expert. I always strive for excellence, and everyone understands that if I’m not satisfied, no one is.’

Kimora often shares glimpses into her busy family life, which includes her daughters Ming and Aoki, her sons Kenzo, Gary, and Wolfe, and her stepson, Jayden.

‘It’s like the Brady Bunch, but with no husband,’ she jokes.

In 2023, the mogul detailed the dynamics of her family and being a single mom to People. 

I constantly think about my children. I have many kids – not just my immediate family, but also the children supported by Smile Train, whom I consider my own. I’m always thinking about all of them and their well-being.

Simmons explained that making her children happy is her main goal. She feels that ensuring their smiles is her daily work and incredibly rewarding.

The family recently gained attention when Aoki, a model and Harvard alum, and Kimora publicly shared their issues with Russell Simmons.

Aoki stated that he had previously been verbally abusive towards her, and provided text messages and screenshots of her conversations with her father. Her father’s career suffered after numerous women – at least fifteen – accused him of sexual misconduct following the emergence of the MeToo movement in late 2017. He continues to deny these accusations.

As someone who often talks about well-being, I recently shared some personal things about my relationship with my dad, and why it was so difficult. Honestly, his unpredictable behavior really took a toll on my mental health, and I felt it was important to be open about that. It wasn’t easy, but I believe sharing my story can help others who might be going through something similar.

I felt it was okay to share some of it because it was already becoming public knowledge, almost like everyone knew but wasn’t talking about it,” Aoki explained.

Aoki publicly claimed that the Def Jam co-founder had treated her poorly for years, causing her considerable anxiety.

Aoki claimed that Russell had not been well ‘for years.’

She explained that he’s struggling but won’t admit it, and doesn’t realize how much he’s changed. He’s been threatening and intimidating her sister and grandmother, even harassing her grandmother late at night when she’s unwell. He even sent someone to her sister’s apartment in the middle of the night to frighten her.

Aoki explained that Russell gets angry with anyone who doesn’t immediately agree with him and tell him everything is okay, but Aoki insists things are actually not okay.

Kimora also shared on social media about her ex-husband’s alleged abusive behavior, explaining that while it was difficult, she felt it was important for people to know what was happening.

Kimora, who was married to Russell from 1998 to 2009, stated that a man has been threatening her children. She firmly declared they will not be intimidated or frightened, and that no child should have to live in fear or experience such abuse. She emphasized that this behavior is unacceptable.

Aoki shared with Teen Vogue that a famous person—who she kept anonymous—told her she was doing the right thing.

She recounted that the celebrity casually mentioned seeing what she’d done, adding they’d experienced something similar around the age of twenty and hadn’t had any issues.

Aoki chose not to comment on the allegations of sexual misconduct against her father, explaining that she didn’t want to overstep and wanted to be respectful of everyone involved, according to the magazine.
