Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West, 12, fires back at finger piercing critics

North West, Kim Kardashian’s daughter, has responded to criticism about her finger piercing, which she first showed off several months ago. The piercing has sparked controversy, and North is now defending her choice.

Kim Kardashian’s oldest child, age 12, used their shared TikTok account to address recent criticism on Tuesday.

In August, North was seen with a new hand piercing while in Italy with her mother. It featured two small silver balls positioned just below the knuckle on her middle finger.

Honestly, it’s just awful what people are saying about her! They’re attacking her for experimenting with her look – you know, those temporary face tattoos and grillz she showed off a while back? It’s like, let her have fun! The negativity is just so unfair, and it’s been going on since October when she first revealed them. I just don’t get the hate!

In a recent TikTok video, North filmed herself and a sound played saying, ‘Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.’

She captioned the video with: ‘This is for anyone upset about a finger piercing.’

North first showed off the jewelry on her finger while on vacation with her mom in Italy back in August.

Screenshots obtained by The Sun show she previously shared photos of getting the piercing, though those photos have since been removed.

A TikTok user named @mazzy_williams posted a video reacting to the 12-year-old’s new jewelry.

Kim Kardashian expressed her sadness online after her daughter, North West, got a piercing without her permission. She shared a video of herself looking upset, with a caption asking, ‘What is going on?’ and tagging #northwest and #kardashians.

People had varying opinions about North receiving the gift, with one person dismissing it as unimportant.

Someone else commented, ‘She’s really young, only twelve, and getting this done is a decision she’ll have to live with forever.’

In October, North West showed off temporary face tattoos and grillz on TikTok, through the account she shares with her mom.

The 12-year-old showed off her blue hair styled in braids in a set of short videos. She also wore black grillz and a fake nose piercing.

‘Fake piercings and fake tatts for life,’ the preteen wrote in the caption of the one of the posts.

People on social media had different reactions to the look, with some suggesting it might be a Halloween costume.

Someone mentioned she’s only twelve years old, and another commenter criticized her outfit, saying it was too mature and inappropriate for a girl her age. They questioned if anyone would want their own daughter dressed that way.

Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about a young person getting tattoos, and honestly, the reactions are all over the place. One person jokingly asked, ‘What is going on?!’ while another was more like, ‘Hey, if they love it, that’s great! But twelve years old seems…young, right?’ It’s sparking a lot of conversation about age-appropriateness and personal expression, and it’s a reminder that everyone has an opinion when it comes to choices like these.

Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North, was also seen with sparkly blue nail polish, blue contact lenses, and what looked like false eyelashes.

Kardashian soon clapped back after her eldest child was criticized by trolls over the look.

Last month, on the Complex YouTube show GOAT Talk, Kardashian shared what her daughter said about the criticism she received.

‘She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,” the TV personality said.

Kardashian shared that it was actually North who said, ‘This isn’t a big deal at all.’

I was honestly blown away when Kim grabbed my phone and quickly replied to a comment, just saying, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ Then I saw everyone online was talking about how she fiercely defended North’s style – they called it the perfect response, and I totally agree! It was such a great way to shut down the negativity.

The actress, known for her role in All’s Fair, described the negative comments she received online as deeply upsetting and awful.

If North ever wants to post on TikTok, she needs my permission first. I handle posting it from my phone, and I also manage all the comments.

The celebrity explained that she and her friends enjoy dressing up in costumes and creating different looks, especially around Halloween. They like to use temporary tattoos and fake piercings as part of their fun.

The group all had brightly dyed hair, aiming for a look reminiscent of a vibrant, edgy version of the Powerpuff Girls – almost like a psychedelic take on the cartoon.

In an October episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim Kardashian talked about how stylish and mature her oldest daughter is.

She’s surprisingly mature. She’ll confidently say things like, ‘Mom, I noticed that some people don’t like my blue hair, but it doesn’t bother me.’ She’s self-assured and figures if someone doesn’t approve of her choices, they’re probably not her kind of people.

The celebrity asked for understanding when it came to some of North’s fashion choices, acknowledging that mistakes happen.

Kardashian said she immediately regretted the outfit choice and wished they hadn’t worn it in public. She also explained that motherhood is a continuous learning process, and you figure things out as you go.
