Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West, 12, dons wild outfit and blue hair at Coachella… amid dad Kanye’s UK ban drama

Even though she’s still a young teenager, North West attended Coachella without her parents. This happened while her father, Kanye West, is unable to travel to the UK and after the Wireless Festival was cancelled.

Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter stood out at the music festival in Indio, California, with her bright blue hair and unique outfit on the first day of the event.

Kim Kardashian, reportedly launching a jewelry line, stepped out with a bold, gothic-inspired outfit. She paired a black and white graphic tee with short shorts and striking black platform boots featuring multiple straps.

Her blue hair was worn down as she sported plenty of jewelry for the occasion.

She wasn’t alone; a friend she’d met on social media, Sophia (@starxxsophia on Instagram), joined her.

North posted a snap of her and Sophia together before hitting the desert festival.

Even though Kim Kardashian isn’t at the festival, her family is well-represented with her sisters Kourtney, Kylie, and Kendall all attending.

Okay, so I was SO excited about this festival, but then I found out Kanye – my Kanye – was headlining. Honestly, it’s complicated. I mean, he’s a genius, but then the news came out about… everything. The stuff with the anti-Semitism and, ugh, even worse things like selling those awful swastika shirts just a few months ago in February 2025. It’s just… a lot. I still want to go, I really do, but it’s hard to ignore all that baggage, you know?

Earlier this year, West publicly apologized to the Jewish community with a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal. He explained that his past harmful behavior stemmed from his struggles with bipolar disorder.

He sincerely apologized and strongly stated that he is not a Nazi or prejudiced against Jewish people, emphasizing his affection for them.

Despite West’s recent statements, many people remain critical of him. Following widespread public anger, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood decided to prevent him from entering the UK to perform at a festival, leading organizers to cancel the event scheduled for July.

West expressed disappointment with the ban, stating it prevented him from taking more responsibility for his actions.

According to a source speaking with the Daily Mail, Ye was upset that his offer to meet with the UK Jewish community and hear their concerns wasn’t accepted. The opportunity for a discussion never even materialized.

Kanye West applied for permission to travel to the UK on Monday, but his request was denied. The Home Secretary, Mahmood, made the decision, stating that West’s presence would not benefit the public.

Actions that harm the community, such as engaging in extremist views or behavior likely to cause public unrest, are considered unacceptable.

Home Office guidelines state that a criminal record isn’t required for someone to be denied entry or permission to stay in the country.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he agreed with the decision to ban West and believes he shouldn’t have been booked to perform at the festival originally.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, also known as Coachella, is currently happening in Indio, California, spanning two weekends in 2026.

Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G are headlining the highly anticipated event.

The festival lineup includes a diverse group of artists from many different genres and eras, featuring performers like Anyma, Young Thug, Turnstile, David Byrne, FKA twigs, Addison Rae, and Ethel Cain.

Music legends Iggy Pop, Moby, and Devo joined the already full lineup, and Radiohead performed a special show called ‘The Bunker Debut of Kid A Mnesia,’ hinting at a unique experience.

The xx and The Strokes are both making a comeback to the festival.
