Kim Kardashian’s Courtroom Sketch Gets Roasted Again During Shocking Paris Heist Trial

The Kardashian family aren’t always portrayed positively, as past courtroom drawings of them have frequently become targets for harsh criticism and jokes on the internet.

It appears that history has repeated itself, as I found myself in the witness box, much like the infamous courtroom curse struck, and my likeness was depicted in a less-than-flattering manner during the trial for the 2016 jewelry heist in Paris, where I testified.

The influencer choked back sobs while addressing the court, expressing that she has forgiven the defendant, even though she had reason to believe she might be sexually assaulted or murdered during the $10 million robbery.

As Kim, aged 44, stepped up to testify, there were sketch artists present to capture her distinctive look. However, on this occasion, their depiction appeared to fall short or not quite resemble her as expected.

One user mirrored this viewpoint by posting one of the sketches from X, accompanied by the comment: “But seriously, what alterations did the court sketch artist make to Kim Kardashian?!

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed that the Kardashian family sketches haven’t escaped criticism before, with their looks, particularly those of Kim, Khloe, Kylie, and matriarch Kris Jenner, causing quite a stir on social media back in 2022.

The family were drawn after appearing in court for Blac Chyna’s $108 million lawsuit against them.

A supporter commented that the court drawings from the trial involving Blac Chyna were extremely harsh, sparking a frenzy on Twitter as the images ignited intense discussion.

A Twitter user playfully quipped that Kim will likely take legal action against the courtroom sketch artist, while another commented that the artist may dislike Kylie due to the harsh depiction of her in the drawing.

I’ve been utterly captivated by the transformations in the reality stars’ appearances, as some have pointed out. The courtroom sketches seem to highlight an evolution, or rather a metamorphosis, of their visages over time. One individual even described it as ‘illustrating how they’ve remodeled themselves.’

The Twitter user stated, ‘It’s evident that the courtroom sketch artist isn’t fond of the Kardashians.’ They continued by saying, ‘These caricatures of Kim, Khloe, and Kylie are laugh-out-loud funny and they seem to portray how each has altered their appearance in an unappealing manner. However, kudos to Kris, she looks great!’

Additionally, some people humorously pointed out that the courtroom sketch artist seemed to favor Team Chyna, given how well the reality star appeared in the drawings compared to others.

The sketches were created by illustrator Mona Shafer Edwards, whose portfolio spans various genres, including courtroom dramas and fashion.

Sketches previously displayed on her website depict well-known individuals such as Michael Jackson and OJ Simpson, who have appeared in courtrooms.

The illustrator portrayed her approach as one that offers a smooth, graceful, and thought-provoking flair in her creations, but her recent depictions of the Kardashians fell short of winning over social media enthusiasts.

As a devoted admirer of exquisite jewelry, I proudly donned a splendid neckpiece during my recent visit to the court. This masterpiece, hailing from Samer Halimeh New York, boasted 18K white gold construction and was adorned with an astonishing 80 diamonds. The pièce de résistance was a stunning 10.13-carat pear-shaped diamond as the centerpiece.

She added a Sloan Pave diamond ear cuff worth $8,300.

Within the courtroom, Kardashian wept as she expressed her terror that she believed she was going to be sexually assaulted later that night.

In a jam-packed courtroom, Kardashian found herself facing off against her mom, Kris Jenner. Upon entering the Voltaire Room, the celebrity was met with gasps of “wow” from the onlookers.

She choked back tears as she spoke to the courtroom: ‘All I desire is to be heard and acknowledged. I value your letter, those words. I grant forgiveness, but it doesn’t erase the pain, the emotional turmoil, the trauma, and the permanent alteration my life has undergone,’ following the judge’s reading of a 2017 apology note addressed to Kardashian.

In her statement to the court, Kardashian shared, “I traveled to Paris for Fashion Week, a city that has held a special place in my heart for a long time. Even during the late hours, I found myself wandering through its streets. I’ve always felt incredibly secure there.

At about three in the morning, I was asleep when I heard heavy footsteps climbing the stairs. I kept shouting for my sister and one of my closest friends, but there was no response. Suddenly, a few individuals dressed as police officers entered my room, though I was certain it was the police since they were wearing uniforms, according to her recollection from the night of the burglary.

She informed the court that the assailants showed up pretending to be police officers, while the concierge was being restrained with handcuffs.

Kardashian explained that they bound her wrists with cables, moved her forcefully towards the bathroom, and aimed a firearm at her forehead.

One bandit signaled towards her ring. Then, I overheard one of the men demand emphatically, ‘Ring! Ring!’ in English, albeit with an accent, indicating it.

The individuals under investigation are alleged to have bound Kim Kardashian using zip ties and duct tape, followed by stealing jewelry, including a $4 million engagement ring that rapper Kanye West (formerly known as Ye) had given her, based on reports from investigators.

Additionally, I was so astonished since there have been numerous acts of terrorism worldwide, causing me to initially assume this incident was another act of terrorism. It wasn’t until later that I realized the intention behind it was actually for my jewelry.

They drew me back into the room after realizing they had all they needed, and they placed me on the bed.

Kardashian explained that she became quite frantic and turned to the concierge, sharing her fears about our impending situation. She emphasized the importance of returning home to her children.

At a certain moment, she expressed concern that she might be sexually assaulted when the thieves pushed her onto the bed and one of them held onto her leg. However, she continued, he eventually bound her hands and legs instead.

I pondered over the idea that my sister might unexpectedly enter the room to find me mortally wounded, leaving a lasting image of such an incident in her mind.

‘I absolutely thought I was going to die.

After a few moments of silence, I found myself at the marble sink, having untied myself due to its hard surface.

Upon reaching the ground floor, Simone informed me that she’d contacted my sibling Kourtney, and they along with the security team were en route. At that moment, it was uncertain whether they would return. Consequently, we swiftly made our way onto the balcony to conceal ourselves among the bushes.

I recalled phoning my mother from the bushes to update her on the incident. Meanwhile, I believe that during our wait for my security, we brainstormed potential strategies, such as whether jumping out of the window, since it was only a single-story building, would be advisable.

The individuals behind the heist, primarily aged in their sixties and seventies, are reported by French authorities to have been experienced criminals who closely monitored Kim Kardashian’s whereabouts via social media.

Two of the defendants have admitted being at the scene. One claims he didn’t know who she was.

Twelve suspects were originally charged. One has died and another was excused due to illness.

The French media labeled them as ‘the elderly robbers’, or ‘les papys braqueurs’, but legal officials argue that these individuals were far from harmless senior citizens.

OR,

In the French press, they became known as ‘the grandpa robbers’ (les papys braqueurs), yet prosecutors claim they were anything but peaceful retirees.

71-year-old Yunice Abbas, one of the ten defendants currently on trial (often referred to as the ‘grandfather gang’), stated to French news outlets that he and his fellow accomplices were unaware of Kim Kardashian’s identity during the robbery.

In an interview with C8 TV some years back, Abbas clarified that it wasn’t her personally we were after, but rather her diamond we had intended to steal. Interestingly, he later confessed to his involvement in the robbery and even wrote a book detailing his part in the crime.

As a devoted follower, I’d like to express my own sentiments by saying that, in conversations with the French press, he admitted his mistakes and wished to extend an apology to Kim Kardashian.

As an utterly devoted fan, I’d put it this way: In these types of scenarios, a guilty plea isn’t on the table, and yet, Abbas finds himself in court, owning up to his part in the heist.

Lawyer Frank Berton, who represents 68-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, also known as ‘Omar the Elder,’ expressed hope in the previous month that the fame of Kim Kardashian, a well-known figure worldwide, won’t influence the court proceedings.

Khedache is accused of being the gang’s ringleader, which he denies.

According to Berton, this trial captures global interest due to the identity of the person bringing the lawsuit, the one harmed.

On Monday, Kardashian arrived in Paris, posting a photo from the flight with a French flag as the caption.

It’s unclear what the founder of SKIMS did the night prior to her court appearance, but her mother, Kris Jenner, shared on Instagram that she had dined out with her partner, Corey Gamble, and Michael Coste instead.

The individuals on trial are alleged to have restrained Kim Kardashian using zip ties and duct tape, stolen valuable items such as a $4 million diamond ring that was once gifted to her by her former spouse, rapper Kanye West (now recognized as Ye), based on what investigators claim.

In France, it’s generally forbidden to use cameras in courtrooms, and the Kardashian testimony will not air live.
