Kim Kardashian shares slumber party throwback with Wicked cast – and everyone is saying the same thing
As a lifelong fan who’s followed the Kardashian-Jenner clan since the early days of their reality TV reign, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when it comes to their latest extravaganza – this time, a Wicked-themed slumber party with none other than Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in attendance.
Kim Kardashian ignited discussions when she shared a picture from the exclusive showing of Wicked, which featured Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo among the attendees.
Many followers criticized Kim for her perceived privilege when she shared a photo from the movie premiere on Instagram, over the weekend.
Last October, the television personality threw an unconventional “sleepover” at her Los Angeles residence, which took place about a month prior to the movie’s official premiere.
44-year-old Kim was accompanied by her sisters Khloe (40), Kourtney (45), and Kylie (27), along with their kids and mom Kris Jenner (68) for a movie screening. The event featured merchandise such as shirts, pajamas, dolls, and a pink and green buffet spread. Additionally, there was a green carpet entrance. Kim labeled the occasion as a ‘cozy pajama party’ in her caption.
Last month, when Kris initially shared photos from the extravagant gathering, the family faced criticism for its opulence. However, fans couldn’t help but bring up Kim’s substantial wealth while expressing their opinions in the comments section.
In a short comment summarizing their thoughts, one said: ‘The privilege is real.’
‘I hate being poor,’ one joked with a laughing crying emoji.
‘Lol the privilege,’ one wrote.
If I had the means, I would act exactly as they did… We common folk can only dream and enjoy through this photo… It’s intriguing to consider how much it cost them to create such an event.
This person retorted sharply, saying, ‘I bet it’s more expensive than building a homeless shelter.’
One person commented, “It’s really tiresome seeing people show off their advantages right now. Instead, why don’t you demonstrate your generosity in a genuine and impactful manner?
‘It’s KIM Kardashian Money..’ another posted.
‘This the type money you have to have to have the main characters at ur wicked themed sleep over,’ another wrote.
The musical “Wicked,” featuring Ariana and Cynthia, debuted in cinemas on November 22, while the pair also hosted an illustrious event filled with celebrities in October’s closing days.

Previously, Kris Jenner had posted photos from the event on her Instagram account on October 23rd, which led fans to comment about perceived exclusivity or privilege at the time.
Universal Pictures’ choice to host advance screenings exclusively for celebrities instead of students studying theater sparked frustration among fans, who believed that the children should have had priority access to watch the movie before a famous family of reality stars.
One fan wrote at the time: ‘The level of obscene privilege is willlld’.
It’s disturbing to me how this wealthy family seems to acquire things they shouldn’t be able to have, simply because of their wealth. They can just as easily obtain Marilyn Monroe’s dress or watch the Wicked movie a whole month before its official release.
‘The only reason behind hosting a private movie night for the Kardashians by Wicked isn’t related to marketing, but rather it showcases their extravagant lifestyle.’

‘THIS. the kardashians aren’t even remotely connected to theater and if they rlly wanted the kardashians to watch it, then they should’ve invited them to one of their influencer screening like they did with trisha. theater kids deserve the princess treatment, not icky billionaires.’
Why wasn’t a special showing of “Wicked” arranged at a musical theater school for children from low-income communities, instead? It seems unusual and questionable, almost like the Kardashians, as if it wasn’t a wise public relations decision. Frankly, I can’t comprehend their reasoning behind this choice.
‘Not one person in your family deserved this.
‘Meanwhile, us common folk are working to keep the lights on….
