Kim Kardashian sat down with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper for a candid interview this week.
The 44-year-old billionaire opened up about her 10-month relationship with Pete Davidson, 31, during a recent interview.
Kim remembered a difficult time in their relationship that began after she started divorce proceedings from Kanye West.
She explained that seeing her ex-husband depict a comedian being buried alive in his 2022 music video for Eazy was deeply upsetting, and she felt it was unfair to him.
The rapper from Chicago repeatedly made fun of the actor during his several-month relationship with the reality TV personality.
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson began dating in October 2021 after meeting when she hosted Saturday Night Live, but they ended their relationship in August 2022.
The multihyphenate remembered how Pete reacted to Kanye’s bullying and harassment.
She said she felt deeply sorry for him, especially because he was such a strong person who always tried to reassure everyone, saying everything was okay, or at least pretending to be okay.
It must be awful to be in that situation, and it’s made me very cautious about putting anyone else in a similar one. I really don’t want to see anyone go through that.
Kim explained that it would be simpler if she just avoided the situation, but she also admitted she couldn’t live her life constantly avoiding things.
Alex wondered how Kanye West’s frequent public controversies have changed the way Kim approaches dating now.
She admitted it had definitely impacted her relationships. She explained that she often gets close to someone, then hesitates, realizing she doesn’t want to get involved with their past relationships or worry about what their ex might say.
‘It has been a little frustrating but then… my person wouldn’t care about that, you know?’
She admitted, ‘But it is a big thing and I get it. It’s not an easy thing. And I get that.’
Kim and Kanye share daughters North, 12, Chicago, seven, and sons Saint, nine, and Psalm, six.
During the same Call Her Daddy interview, Kim Kardashian shared that she’s happy being single, but her daughter North wants her to start dating again.
She shared that her pre-teen daughter has accused her of faking happiness about being single, and even said, ‘I think you go upstairs and cry at night.’
Her sassy daughter advised: ‘It’s time to move on. You need to have a boyfriend now.’
Kim and Kanye tied the knot in Italy in 2014, less than one year after North was born.
The Vogue cover star filed for divorce in February 2021, and it was finalized the following year.
Kanye is now married to Australian model and arcihtect Bianca Censori, 30.
