Kim Kardashian misses the mark on the California bar exam, vows to keep trying

Kim Kardashian won’t be arguing cases just yet.

The reality TV star and business mogul shared on Saturday that she didn’t pass the California bar exam, but she plans to continue studying and retake it until she succeeds.

Kim Kardashian shared on Instagram that while she’s not yet a practicing lawyer, she’s been studying law for six years and is determined to pass the bar exam. She emphasized she’s committed to the process and won’t take any shortcuts, focusing instead on hard work and dedication.

Kim Kardashian, 45, shared that she almost passed the test this time, and it’s giving her extra motivation to try again. She said she’s feeling determined and ready to keep going!

Kim Kardashian expressed optimism in October, while on Britain’s “The Graham Norton Show,” about her chances of passing the required law exam. She shared her belief that she would soon become a licensed attorney, while also promoting her series “All’s Fair,” where she plays a divorce lawyer.

Kim Kardashian is fascinated by the conspiracy theory that the 1969 moon landing was a hoax, and she believes Buzz Aldrin may be hinting at the truth. She’s been following the discussion on TikTok, which she considers a reliable source for this information.

Kim Kardashian is pursuing a career in law, much like her late father, Robert Kardashian. He was a prominent attorney best known for being part of the legal team that defended O.J. Simpson in his 1995 murder trial. Simpson had been accused of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, on June 12, 1994, but was ultimately found not guilty.

Kim Kardashian revealed in a Vogue interview in April 2019 that she began studying law in the summer of 2018. This decision followed her work on the case of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who received a life sentence plus 25 years for a nonviolent drug crime. Kardashian advocated for Johnson’s release, and in 2018, President Trump commuted her sentence. Two years later, Johnson received a full pardon.

I’ve been following Kim Kardashian’s journey as she’s worked with Van Jones and Jessica Jackson, who really supported her education. Instead of going to law school, she decided to do a four-year apprenticeship at a law firm in San Francisco, with the goal of taking the bar exam in 2022.

Kim Kardashian mistakenly believed a man on death row in Texas was someone else – a New Yorker with no connection to a double murder. Now, the man is suing her for damaging his reputation.

Kim Kardashian finally passed the challenging “baby bar” exam in December 2021, after being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and taking it multiple times. She then completed another necessary step in becoming a lawyer by passing the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam in May.

Just before revealing how she did on the bar exam, Kim Kardashian shared that she used AI to help her prepare. During a lie detector test for Vanity Fair with Teyana Taylor, Taylor jokingly asked Kardashian, “Would you consider ChatGPT a friend?”

I use it to get legal guidance. Whenever I have a question, I just take a picture and upload it to the app,” Kardashian explained.

“So you’re cheating?” Taylor responded.

“They’re always wrong. It has made me fail tests.”

Although Kim Kardashian isn’t currently a practicing lawyer, she’s playing one on television. In the series “All’s Fair,” she stars as a co-founder of a law firm made up entirely of women, alongside Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, and Retta.
