Kim Kardashian makes subtle jab at Jimmy Fallon’s Beats headphones as she releases her own version of the Dr. Dre collab

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that two high-profile personalities are currently engaged in a friendly competitive spirit, each unveiling their unique take on headphone lines, in partnership with Beats Electronics – the iconic brand co-founded by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine back in 2006.
Before the big event, the late-night show host presented Kim with a set of his personalized Beats headphones. Her response, particularly her excitement over their vibrant mustard hue, was quite expressive.
On her Instagram Stories, the reality celebrity, aged 43, posted pictures of the received headphones while subtly hinting at something through her post.
“Kim exclaimed, laughing, as she received a box labeled ‘Beats by Jim, Jimmy Fallon’. She looked at the headphones, puzzled, and said, ‘I’m not sure about this color. It’s a bit confusing… I think they might have sent me the wrong ones.’ “
Beats by Kim, meanwhile, are available in three of her signature neutral shades.
The playful jab persisted in the social media post as she laughed while reading a note from the former Saturday Night Live star.
“Kim is thrilled to reveal her prototype of the collaboration on Beats Studio Pro headphones, featuring a unique mustard color, inspired by her fondness for hot dogs.”
She then sarcastically added, ‘Um, I’m so proud of you Jimmy. I mean I wouldn’t wear these.
‘Stay true to yourself dude, authentic.’
On Tuesday, Beats by Dre unveiled a commercial hinting at a monumental face-off between Kim and Jimmy.
1. The commercial begins by showcasing Jimmy, aged 49, entering the Beats main office. As he walks in, an employee mentions that her father is a big fan of his, and meanwhile, various employees have images of Kim wearing Beats headphones displayed on their computer screens.
Her hilarious new ad comes amid Kim’s budding acting career – after she got rave reviews for her performance in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story.
While making their way through the office, Jimmy shares with the assistant: “I’ve long dreamt of having my unique beats, and that dream is becoming a reality today.”
The helper led him towards the waiting area, and Jimmy noticed a sign for a focus group with the message: ‘Focus Group Triumphs Over Kim, Kim Trumps Jim.’ or simply, ‘The Focus Group Outranks Both Kim and Jim in This Group.’
Jimmy sneaks a glance into the room, catching sight of an advertisement featuring Kim and her merchandise displayed prominently on the screen, as the audience in the focus group takes it all in.
I can hardly believe my eyes as I watch Kim’s captivating Beats commercial, where she gracefully tosses her mane and gives the camera a mesmerizing gaze of pure allure.
In the advertisement, Kim is shown with a short, white T-shirt, standing slightly sideways. She’s also seen wearing a pair of beige Beats headphones.
In the advertisement, she is seen striking numerous poses as a fan creates movement in her hair. Towards the end of the ad, she’s shown grasping a set of cream-colored shoes and a pair of chocolate-brown ones in her hands.
The ad ended with the text ‘beats x kim’ as she smiled for the camera.
A woman running the focus group then says: ‘So moving on to Jimmy’s,’ as she click it to start.
Jimmy’s advertisement showcases the late-night host donning a stylish mustard-yellow tracksuit, complete with black details, harmonizing beautifully with his mustard-yellow Beats headphones.
On the stage, he’s spotted sitting on a red chair, next to a microphone with a reddish tint, all while donning stylish yellow and black sunglasses.
The cheesy ad he had had him posing and bopping the headphones as he is heard whispering ‘spicy.’
Jimmy grinned ear to ear as he watching his own ad.
Next, the screen displayed a pairing of advertisements, where the participants were informed that they could progress with either the Beats headphones from Kim or the Beats headphones from Jim.
In one discussion, a participant remarked: ‘I find Kim’s appealing,’ while another participant expressed: ‘Jimmy’s seem unappealing to me.’
The first focus member added: ‘Beats by Kim look amazing. I haven’t felt this happy in years.’
Jimmy looked confused as he heard the feedback.
The lead said: ‘All that from these headphones. Fantastic.’
The second focus group member said: ‘Why would anyone willfully choose Jimmy’s when Kim’s exists.
The person selecting the second item queried about the color of the chosen headphones. To this question, they were informed that the color was mustard yellow.
One of our key team members inquired about Jimmy’s preference post-condiment. In response, another team lead explained that Jimmy is quite fond of hot dogs, so he wished to honor that fact.
The second person quipped, “His guy seems to have eaten too many hot dogs,” prompting a fit of laughter from everyone.
Jimmy bursts in and queries, “Apologies – am I competing with Kim Kardashian? That seems unfair. Her style is streamlined, it’s fashionable. It’s…”
Kim’s voice is heard finishing his sentence, saying ‘iconic.’
Kim was in the room the whole time and turned her swiveling chair around to reveal her presence.
She finished her sentence: ‘… is the word your looking for.’
Kim looked beautiful in a gray and white pinstripe suit.
Jimmy nervously says ‘hello Kim’ as she makes her way over to him.
She stands in front of him as the focus group and leads watch on.
He whispers to her, ‘What are you doing here? Don’t you have 30 jobs?’
She walks in even closer to him as says ‘Soon to be 31.’
The screen becomes dark, displaying “Kim vs Jim.” Only one will prevail. They return to the conference room where Jimmy extends his hand to Kim, saying, “Let’s see who’s the better one,” implying a friendly competition.
She doesn’t lift her hand up to shake his, as she tells him ‘Thank you I will.’
As she fixes him with a steady gaze, he tightens his hand into a fist, followed by the screen going dark once more, displaying the logo of Beats this time.
Recently, Kim played the role of Siobhan Corbyn on American Horror Story, a performance that garnered widespread critical acclaim.
