Kim Kardashian details confusion, terror of Paris robbery: ‘Absolutely’ thought she was going to die
For Kim Kardashian, Paris was once enchanting. However, the armed robbery that occurred during Paris Fashion Week in 2016 significantly altered her perspective on the city, as she explained during a trial held in France on Tuesday, where ten individuals are being tried for allegedly planning and executing the crime.
According to the Associated Press, she firmly believed that she was about to meet a violent end. When her robe accidentally gaped open, revealing all of her private parts, she became certain she was going to be subjected to a sexual attack.

Kim Kardashian West has now revealed her account of the events surrounding the robbery that significantly impacted her life back in October, along with an exclusive photograph that was secretly sent to her by a group of photographers in Paris following the incident.
She informed Judge David De Pas, “I was positively convinced that was the instant he intended to assault me sexually,” she said. “In truth, I believed I was about to meet my end.
Upon noticing footsteps thundering up the staircase in her two-story flat and hollering for one of her siblings, Kardashian was taken aback when unknown individuals emerged in her bedroom. In a bid to summon her bodyguard for assistance, she reached out to make a call, only to have someone swiftly grab her phone away.
According to The Guardian, Kardashian stated that she initially assumed it was a terrorist incident due to her confusion when the men arrived. She clarified later on that she didn’t immediately understand that the incident involved her jewelry.
Later on, as reported by the BBC, she explained that they lifted her from the bed, grabbed her, and led her down the hallway in search of additional jewelry and belongings.
In that instant, I considered fleeing when I felt a gun pressed against my spine. Yet, escape seemed impossible, so I remained still, and it was then that I understood I had no choice but to comply with their demands.

On Tuesday, it’s anticipated that Kim Kardashian will take the stand in a French court to discuss the surprising 2016 heist that significantly impacted her life and career trajectory.
Kardashian stated that she attempted to convey to the suspects that she had “young ones” – referring to her two kids back then, as opposed to the current four – and was desperate to return home to them safely.
A popular figure from reality television and cosmetics industry, who’s been delving into law studies lately, found herself bound with zip ties for arms and legs and silenced with tape over her mouth by thieves. The robbers eventually left her in a restroom as they fled the scene, having stolen goods valued at millions.
2022 marked the end of Kardashian’s marriage to rapper Kanye West, also known as “Ye”. Following a robbery she experienced during that year, her perspective on family travel transformed drastically. She previously felt invulnerable, stating, “We never thought we were not safe before this.” Now, she travels accompanied by several bodyguards who stay with the group instead of departing to separate hotels each night, as was their previous practice. On the unfortunate occasion of the robbery, they had only one bodyguard present, who had left to go to a club with sister Kourtney Kardashian at the time.
Kim Kardashian shares her jewelry as soon as she gets home and securely transports it elsewhere for safe storage, allowing her to rest peacefully each night, according to her testimony.

This past week has been nothing short of chaotic for me, as I found myself caught up in an harrowing ordeal – being robbed at gunpoint on a Monday morning at my luxurious Parisian residence.
The court case for ten individuals, ranging in age from 35 to 78, continues until May 23rd. Five of these individuals are suspected of being present in the apartment, while the remaining suspects are accused of assisting in the planning of the robbery. Eight of the defendants claim innocence regarding all allegations, but two men, whose DNA was discovered at the scene, have confessed to their involvement.
71-year-old Yunice Abbas is one of those who confessed to taking part in the robbery. On Tuesday, he responded to the judge’s questions. Although he has written a book about his past experiences leading up to October 3, 2016, and has talked about it in interviews, Abbas told the court that the Kardashian robbery was a job he felt was too much and deeply regrets being involved, as reported by The Guardian.
In a report by the BBC, Kardashian expressed her surprise upon discovering the book, stating, “Not only has he written this book, but he’s also profiting from it – using my jewelry, memories, even the watch my father gave me when I graduated high school. I can never get that back.
Not only did they steal my jewelry, but they also took my cherished memories. Now, he’s making a profit from a book about it? I can’t help but feel that this situation isn’t fair.

On Monday, Kim Kardashian West returned to the U.S., following an ordeal of being held up by armed individuals during a robbery that occurred in Paris, where she had been participating in Fashion Week events.
Following the robbers’ escape, Kardashian successfully freed herself and quickly descended the stairs to where her stylist and friend Simone Harouche was residing, according to the New York Post. Upon the arrival of the Parisian police, she expressed confusion over their authenticity as she questioned if they were genuine officers due to the other individuals being dressed as police officers.
“I didn’t know who to trust,” she said.
The individuals are being accused of various crimes such as armed robbery, abduction, and belonging to a criminal organization. These offenses could potentially result in them serving a lifetime in prison, according to the Associated Press.
Investigators think that the criminals gathered useful tips from the Kardashians’ social media updates during that period, which they then used strategically to orchestrate their heist. Following the burglary, she has reportedly made significant alterations to her online sharing habits.
